380.0. "Naturist New Hampshire (new naturist group)" by MOIRA::FAIMAN (light upon the figured leaf) Fri Jun 19 1992 15:09
I received the following letter yesterday; it will probably be of
interest to some of you.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
It is with a great deal of pleasure that we announce the formation of
NATURIST NEW HAMPSHIRE, an independent group whose purpose is to
provide for the needs of all naturists within the state's boundaries.
Our goals include year-round activities for all, Special Interest
Groups (SIGs), publication of a newsletter, and establishment of new
sites for naturist use.
The idea for this group came at the Naturist Society's eastern
gathering in Moravia, NY, in August of 1991, where five people from New
Hampshire happened to meet. The general topic of conversation was the
lack of organization and activities in our state. Jokingly, the
placing of an ad was mentioned. Instead of laughter, it was suggested
"why not?". With this in mind, an ad was placed. From this beginning,
the result has been a prospect list of approximately 20, a first
meeting that was held in January, and working agreements with both TNS
and NENA. We are continuing to work on finding places for winter and
summer activities, and on finding a central location for us to meet in
a clothing-optional setting.
As you can see, we are a fledgling group. The group consists of
naturists from all walks of life and who are naturists for a variety of
reasons. Some have been nudists for many, many years, while others
just a few months. Some are naturists because of a holistic lifestyle,
while others are just more comfortable without clothing. Some have
been members of parks and national groups, while others were totally
unfamiliar with any naturist/nudist organizations. Even though the
group is now small, it covers a variety of people and lifestyles. It
is with this in mind that we welcome ALL responses and hope that as you
read this, you share our feelings of enthusiasm, and that you join with
us in promoting and enjoying the naturist life.
