333.1 | "Death to Gay Naturists!" | STEPS1::WILSON | | Wed Aug 21 1991 13:03 | 12 |
| djc, I was at the Ledges Sunday afternoon (both before and after the
rain :-( and didn't hear anything about this. I thought that you could
walk to the island. It's unfortunate, but in my opinion (and probably
statistics will back me up), neither gays nor naturists are any more
prone to drowning than the general populace. But I guess anyone who
would make that kind of statement (that something like this being bound
to happen where "those gays hang around") would never let facts get in
the way of their opinions!
Has anybody heard any more on this?

333.2 | That's too bad . . . | HPSRAD::JWILLIAMS | John Williams Cirrus 297-6141 | Thu Aug 29 1991 13:40 | 6 |
| I see people swim acroos that lake all the time. It's not that far. I think
maybe something happened, like a heart attack. It's difficult for me to imagine
someone swimming out and drowning in that lake without some sort of intervening
circumstance. Remember, Vt. has it's share of rednecks.

333.3 | An unfortunate ACCIDENT. | STEPS1::WILSON | | Thu Sep 05 1991 12:09 | 9 |
| RE: .2 (John), rednecks, etc. ??? Do you think foul play might have
been involved?? It wasn't. I was there over this past weekend, and
spoke to someone who was there when it happened. It was unfortunate,
but the person had (a stroke? a heart attach?) which caused the
drowning. He was in his early 40s. Bummer. :-(
But there was no foul play.
