    Does anyone know beaches near Holly Island (NORTHUMBRIA)?
    or near Berwick upon Tweed?
    At near 40 miles in the south of Edinburgh (SCOTLAND).
    
    I will spend time in August.

	My guide says to try Ross Back Sands, a couple of miles south of Holy Island, just north of Bamburgh, or Cheswick Black Rocks, near to the golf club at Cheswick. It says both are quiet beaches, but are very nice, and well worth visiting. The guide doesn't have much info on beaches in Scotland, possibly because it may be a bit too cool for spending too much time on the beach up there ;-) Hope this helps. Rob.
