264.1 | Any more in Seattle? | CHEFS::JORDAN | Chris Jordan, MS BackOffice Centre, UK | Mon Feb 26 1996 13:19 | 8 |
| I am coming over to Seattle from the UK for a week soon.
Beacuse of flight plans I am going to be there over a Friday and
Saturday evening, and most of the day on Sunday.
Is there anywhere recommended to go to relax??
Cheers, Chris

| When I was out visiting Seattle I went to two places (neither were
beaches and I don't know if they're open year round). Both were
nice.
One was real close to the city, on a main street even! But the
facility itself was not that spectacular. It was very crowded, but
singles were welcome.
The other was not too far away, very beautiful, woods, waterfall, etc.
Singles also were welcome (of course I'm female so it may be different
if you're male but I don't think so). This is the place I was going to
join if I decided to move there and work at Microsoft.
Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of either at the moment, but
I'll look it up at home and add a note with more details.
If you can plan a trip to WA for the future, there is a new Naturist
Northwest Gathering being held this summer at Kaniksu Ranch, August
1-4. I'm not sure where that is in Washington State but I imagine
it's within reach of Seattle if you're in that area. I'm planning to
be there (all the way from Michigan!)

| The place in the woods was probably Fraternity Snoqualomie. It's a
really nice place just outside of Issaquah (about half hour from
Seattle and less from DECWest) Singles are okay if you call ahead of
time. The phone is listed, but if I recall correctly it only gets you
and information packet. If you need the number directly, I can probably
find it (though I've moved to Texas)
The in-city one Ribin references is probably Seattle SLUGS. This group
meets monthly in a health club for pool parties. Dunno what they do
other than winter months now that Teddy bear cove is dead. There is
also a beach on Orcas Island in the San Juan's, but this time of year
you'd be better off with fur than skin :^)

| Almost, Larry...
The one I was referring to closest to Seattle was Fraternity
Snoqualmie. The other, much larger area, more natural setting, with
lake, etc. is Lake Bronson Club. The other groups are not landed
facilities but they do have winter get togethers. All the phone
numbers I have I'll list below.
Enjoy! Robin
