| I've been getting it too, but mainly during prime-time.
I sent mail to Neil, but he seems to be away until Aug 13.
Judy is one of the moderators, but this looks like something
that has to be done by the system people (i.e. someone with privs).
In the vaxnotes conference I found this:
<<< CLT::DISK$CLT_LIBRARY3:[NOTES$LIBRARY]VAXNOTES_BUGS.NOTE;1 >>>
-< Notes bugs >-
================================================================================
Note 113.9 ENQUE quota exceeded 9 of 9
ATLACT::TRAYSER_B "C J 'Buck' Trayser" 21 lines 3-OCT-1987 00:15
-< ENQLM is related to the 'resource' problem, but wrong symptom >-
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
An update:
Back in January I helped Vickers figure out what the problem was on the
Charlotte machine. The ENQLM for the account Notes$server has no bearing
on this because we increased it to 1000+ and no help. Stopping and
restarting the server didn't help either. We also chased down the
possibility that there was a corrupted conference messing things up -
there was, but it wasn't the culprit.
It seems that Notes doesn't gracefully handle the case where it is
refused a Lock. The system had exhausted LOCKIDTBL and it wouldn't let
LOCKIDTBL_MAX be reached (out of pool and free memory) so Notes croaks
with an ENQLM error. Not bad - right ballpark.
The solution was to increase LOCKIDTBL to exceed the total number of
locks present on the system (bottom right of a MONITOR LOCK display) when
the error was occuring, followed by a reboot.
Hope this helps...

| Neil knew about the problem before he left on vacation but apparently didn't
get it fixed. Since I sit in Colorado and the system NATURISM is on is in
NH, I doubt if my boss will spring for a trip to fix it. We'll just have to
be patient until Neil returns. Sorry.

257.7 | | TLE::FELDMAN | Larix decidua, var. decify | Wed Aug 01 1990 12:24 | 7 |
| I've checked with the local system management folks, but MOIRA is managed by
Neil, so that our system managers don't have managers access, and I don't have a
system management account on it. I'm reluctant to power down the machine just
to get it into standalone mode, so please bear with us (pun intended) until
Neil gets back.

I think you should leave it the way it is. After all, how many times
in this conference have we had a topic to which so many people were
willing (or had the nerve) to enter a reply? :-)

| I have doubled the LOCKIDTBL parameter on MOIRA, which in theory ought to
solve this problem. If you keep having it, please send me mail.
