| You can go way south and visit Peter Bell in Australia! ;-)
We go to Valley View and sit in the warm springs. It is really neat to
sit in warm water and have it snow on you. Quite an experience! If you
get the chance, visit Spence Springs in New Mexico, which is a true hot
spring, 104 degrees!

Go to Valley View...simmer in the hot springs for a while...
then jump out and make some nude snow angels. :-)

I never did do that either!!! It is bad enough trying to explain sunburned
buns but can you imagine frost-bitten buns!?! ;-)
I have walked bare-footed and bare-a**ed between the pools (which are outdoors,
natural settings) with snow and ice on the dirt paths between them. I didn't
want to take the time to dress so just threw a beach towel over my shoulders
and went for it! Then the water felt down-right hot when I got in!

| I remember reading something about the "200 club" in the Antartica.
You have to soak in a tub of hot water for a while, and then you
jump out, put on your boots and then run outside to get your picture
taken in the nude. The difference between the hot tub water and the
outside air has to be at least 200 degrees Farenheit.

I did the reverse, I went north for winter.
Its warming up here is Sydney, another month and I'll be heading for
the beach.

| I took my family to VV last Xmas holidays. It was nearly 20 below outside
whilst we soaked in the warm water. If any kind of wind blew up, one waited
to exit. My favorite activity was to stoke up the sauna to as hot and humid
as I could stand it, get my body acclimated and then walk back to the cabin
in the raw. I could go almost 200 feet before my body began to complain. I'm
definitely going back this winter.

Down at Dyer Woods in RI, we ice skate, sled and take a dip in
the pond via a hole cut in the ice. A hot sauna before and after
tends to help.
For the somewhat more timid, there is usually a warm fire in the
club house. Too bad they allow smoking!
