Has anyone ever been to the Sorobon Beach Resort in Bonaire? I
was wondering what it was like. We've been to Club Orient, which
was *very* nice, but expensive. The person at Naturist Travel said
people who have been to Club Orient usually don't like Sorobon as
much because it's not as "clean" as St. Martin. (don't know exactly
    what she meant by that).

| We visited Bonaire a few years ago and visited Sorobon.
General impressions of Bonaire are in note 23 of JPOIND::HOLIDAY_TRAVEL
(KP7 or SELECT). Our visit to Sorobon was for a day and it was not
crowded at all. We know people who have started going to Sorobon
and prefer it to Club Orient. However, the cuisine on Bonaire cannot
compare, we've been told, with that of St. Martin's.
We are not very demanding of vacation accommodations: if they're
basically clean and the people are polite we're happy, but others
might not be as happy with Sorobon. Give a call if you'd like to
talk about Sorobon and Bonaire (Dtn 291-9597).

| 106.3 | SOROBON - FIRST TIME | ABACUS::CCHANDLER | Sun Apr 15 1990 09:16 | 16 | |
| Just returned from Bonaire, and stayed eight days at Sorobon. This was
a first time for us at a nude resort. My wife stating, as she was
unsure if she could handle it. Well, we were there fifteen minutes, and
whos the first one running aroud the beach? Right.. I had trouble to
get her to put her suit on, so I could take pitures to bring home. The
resort is very clean and the beach is about the best on the island. If
you want a relaxing vacation, without crowds, and no pressure, this is
the place to go. Everybody is so nice (guests & staff). We also took
the nude cruise that was available for guests of Sorobon. This was a
great time, with lunch and stopping for snorkling. Eight days of the
most perfect weather you could ask for. Well, next year it will be for
two weeks and I'm ready to return now. Drop a line, if you want any
information, and I'll fill you in with all the material I returned
    with.

| 106.4 | Sorobon no longer naturist? | NOVA::WASSERMAN | Deb Wasserman, DTN 264-1863 | Wed Aug 21 1991 11:33 | 5 |
| I recently called the travel agent that books Club Orient and Sorobon
to ask about winter rates for Sorobon. They told me that they weren't
booking Sorobon past the end of the summer because of the possibility
of the resort being sold to non-naturists :-( If anyone has any further
    info, please post it.

| I talked to the booking agent for Sorobon who told me that Sorobon
isn't really recommended if planning only a short stay (less than a
week) because of the travel time (Probably the whole day and flight
changes). Has anyone else had any experience with this?
