60.0. "Parsons Pleasure" by RDGCSS::MURRAY () Fri Jun 03 1988 04:11

     During the weekend it was reported that cubicles and fencing
     had been ruthlessly vandalised at Parsons Pleasure, a
     secluded spot on the river Cherwell where Oxford dons have,
     for over a century, swum naked. 

     Though mixed skinny-dipping has recently been reported, the
     location has traditionally been men-only, with women punting
     on the river being required to disembark and push the punts
     around the back over a system of rollers. 

     The ladies however have a similar spot, known as Dames
     Delight, further down the river. 

     Unfortunately the University can not, at present, afford to
     repair the damage.
