987.0. "Are anyone's cats not eating as usual?" by CATMAX::SKALTSIS (Deb) Tue Mar 26 1996 06:01

Is anyone else's cat(s) off their feed? I'm hoping that this is just
spring, but given that a URI has runthru the house, and that I lost a
cat to FIP in Jan, I'm a bit concerned.

What I noticed was that yesterday and this morning, I didn't get rushed
into the kitchen with everyone demanding that I feed them NOW. Some
meandered in, others had to be asked to come; Jimmy insisted on sitting
on the cat tree and watch the birds. While they all ate, noone cleaned
    their plates.

Anyhow, is anyone else seeing this?

Sammie has actually been leaving food in her dish in the morning.
This is the dry stuff, not the canned food that she scarfs down in
record time. She usually inhales the dry stuff too, but for the last
4 or 5 days she actually walks away from her bowl when it has food in
    it.

Although this is unusual, I'm not concerned since she seems totally
normal in other ways. She usually goes back to her bowl w/in the hour
    and finishes whatever is left.

I know that my appetite wanes in the spring. Maybe theirs do too.

Ditto here. I thought it odd last week that Audrey (the one
who usually yells at me to feed her in that little Siamese wail)
didn't finish all of her canned food. She usually scarfs that
    	down in no time.

I see the spring weather has brought out the Trolls as well. Our
chains are being yanked again. ;-)
