957.0. "MR. HAPPY MASSAGER " by SCASS1::WHITEA () Thu Dec 07 1995 09:15
I found the neatest thing for kitties last night! It's called a Happy
Massager. It's made completely out of wood, with one large ball that
fits in the palm of your hand (that part has a little happy-face
painted on it) and it has four smaller wooden balls attached to the
bottom for "feet". It's original purpose is to used as a "people"
massager, but I thought that I'd try it on my kitties. You should have
seen the effect it had on Asia (who lives in a perpetual state of
bitchiness)! She has NEVER in the three years that I've had her
allowed me to pet her anywhere other than between the ears, but last
night, she couldn't get enough of Mr. Happy Massager! She rolled over
onto her back so that I could rub her tummy with it, and she just
purred and drooled and kneaded to her little heart's content! I've
never seen her like that, and I can't wait to get home and try it on
her some more. There is a larger size that can be used by humans to
massage larger areas (back, chest, legs, etc.) and a smaller one (for
human hands and feet) that is the perfect size for kitties! It'll make
a perfect Christmas gift for felines and their humans alike!
Try It!

My troop responds similarly to the Zoom Groom. The seem to love those
rubbery fingers. All I have to do is show Rocky the Zoom Groom and
he's over on his back or prancing on his hind legs begging to be
groomed.

| Be careful not to tear the hairs off kitty, hair can get into /rollup
on the axis of the smaller balls (although I don't know the
construction, I have a similar device with four wooden balls, they turn
on small axes, and can wind up the hair)

No, the four "feet" are glued on, they don't turn or move.

| BTW, you can find Mr Happy at Bath & Body Works. Here in Nashua there
is one in the Pheasant Lane Mall...

I'm going to get a Mr. Happy. All four of my babies just love to have
their neck scratched. Mello loves for me to scratch the end of her
back just above her tail. When I scratch her just right her tail forms
into a question mark.
