953.0. "Feline Medicine - Boston Globe" by SHRCTR::SCHILTON (Press any key..no,no,not that one!) Mon Nov 20 1995 08:05

Anyone catch the Boston Globe Sunday Magazine yesterday? The cover
story was on feline medicine - very interesting. It profiled a
feline-only veterinary practice in Kenmore Square.

ps I wonder which major Boston *people* hospital it is who allows the
vets to bring in kitties in need of it's CAT scan machine...hmmm....

if they are in Kenmore square, and an animal is in need of a catscan,
I'd think that they'd bring them to Angell (which has such a machine).

But, they seem to have an arrangement with a prominent *local*
people hospital. So, I guess this is more convenient than taking
them to Angell. (Although, it did say that they refer some patients
for Angell for specialized care that they can't provide at The Cat
    Hospital).

I think it's "cute", sneaking a kitty in the "back-door" of say,
Brigham & Womens, for a CAT scan.

The article was a good read.

When my cat Brandy had a suspected brain tumor, they (Angell in Boston)
were going to take her to a human hospital, but I can't remember the
    name.
