| I was saying to my girlfriend the other day when Max was sick, that
I sometimes wish I could bring him with me. He would explore for a
while, then he'd settle down and stick right by me.
It just might do something towards decreasing the blood-pressure of
folks in high-stress work situations, to have kitty sitting there next
to you....
I know when I'm working at home, I like having them lay on the bed next
to me (terminal is in a spare bedroom) while I work.

I was thinking the same thing just yesterday. My crew (Robin and Rocky
especially, though Blueberry often takes advantage of their distracting
me to make her own escapes) like to play "sneak behind/under/around Daddy
as he leaves for work and then make him catch us". The obvious
response is "So, you want to come work? It means a ride in the car,
you know. Past the vet's office...".]
Rocky and I even talked about, but we concluded he'd be too
irresistable a distraction to my coworkers.

| I like it! I like it! I know it would sure perk up my workday. Now,
who will volunteer to talk to Bob Palmer about it?!?

| I love it. I'd love to take Conan the super cat to work with me. She
could waddle (she is kind of large, with very short stubby legs, a
short body) upstairs and visit Bob. I'd feel awful leaving Pumpkin home
- she hates being in the car, and is afraid of her own shadow. Conan
would be roaming this place, visiting everyone, purring and accepting
all tidbits offered. I'd have a very difficult time getting her out of
here.
That perked me up,
Linda

I can see it now.. Shilo would be first in line for all of the
attention.. And Ollie, he would just lay there with is long legs
stretched out in front of him say, "Look at me!"
Wish that it could happen.. It would make the day more pleasureable!!
Thanks for thinking about putting it in the notesfile.. It did bright
up the rest of my day............

| Of course you know the ::CANINErs would demand equal time :-}
Skrufy (personality type: Niles Crane from "Frasier") wouldn't even
consider dealing with the stress of the ride and having to meet a bunch
of people... though if I managed to beam him into my cubicle he'd be my
lap-warmer all day long.
Veto (personality type: Gomer Pyle? Goofy?), on the other hand, would
be beside himself--all those wastebaskets to tip over! All those
humans to love unconditionally! All those pens to bat around and bric-
a-brack to knock over!
Love the concept,
Leslie

Taking k.d. to work right now would be a bad idea.... she just went
into her 1st heat.... :-)

888.8 | Spike and Brutus | HOTLNE::CORMIER | | Mon May 22 1995 06:55 | 7 |
| Couldn't possibly bring in Spike - our hermetically sealed buildings
would not permit a window to be opened so himself can overflow the
window sill. Brutus, well, he'd just love it! "What's this? What's
this? Can cats eat this? Do cats play with these?" By the time he
left, all paper clips, pens, and coffee stirrers would be under the
refrigerators in the cafeteria...

re: .2 - Len, I know you. We've partied together. Edd spoke of
your cat stories. Next time you discuss things with Rocky,
tell him I said you're nuts...

demanding more money!

Yes, I can see this. The CinnyMan, (pursonality like Beetle Baily)
trying to charm all the managers and checking out all the "MICE" next
to those PCs.
Spots, Well, she is shy, but if there is food, she will love you, other
wise she would just hang out under my desk, or even better she would go
and make friends with all of the Cafeteria people and stay there for
the day.
The Princess Panther Jane, (Well, the FIRM represents her and they
would have her signature on the papers demanding more money!) She would
only condecend to visit with the Board of Directors or Purhaps with Bob
Palmer. (She knows that she out ranks him!) I wonder if they would
discuss business stragey over Lunch, (Bob would have to pay.) Panther
Jane is ChairCat of the Board At Felines Basement, maybe she could
discuss TV marketing????
It would certainly be interesting!

| My sister said she would like to be there at the end of the day when
we all tried to get our kitties back into their box.
I can just see Christopher exercising his form of corporate acquisition
and making everything his, when he wasn't charming everyone for miles
around.
Lady Elizabeth would close her eyes and say "All to vulgar. Really"
Ninja would have a wonderful time pouncing on unwary feet as they
passed, as well as climbing up those lovely walls with fabric just made
for little claws to grip into.
Tigger wouldn't come--he's too old for this kind of think thank you
very much.
Charlie, after he had gotten over having a fit at being put into a box,
would charm everyone to pieces. He truly is a warm sweet little ginger
bread man.
Me? I would be a nervous wreck.

888.13 | Nay, please. | BPSOF::EGYED | Per aspera ad astra | Wed May 24 1995 04:44 | 9 |
| I would never do a thing to my Smokey like that.
To pack her into the box just for bringing her into a place with a lot of
twolegged folks and other dangers? And to make her unsure about her own brain
still sitting in the right place? To bring a healthy cat among HUMANS? Never.
Nat, envious, wanting to have cat for himself alone.

I can just see Blueberry wandering from cubicle to cubicle, inquiring
"treats? treats?", and checking out the warmth on top of each monitor,
until she found a comfy place where she could settle in, paws and chin
hanging over the top front edge "Kilroy"-like...
