Woofie, my 10.5 year old tabby went to the vet two weeks ago for
his annual checkup. I had a blood test done to make sure he
could handle the anesthesia for his dentistry (teeth cleaning).
It came back showing evidence of "broken red blood cells". He is
going for another blood test tomorrow.
Can anyone give me any information about this? The vet isn't too
worried about this because otherwise he is in fine shape, but we
decided to do another test to make sure. He's had a blood test
every year for several years and this is the first time anything
unusual has come up. Could this be a symptom of getting older?

| Jane...I've never heard of this in all my kitty history...unless
of course there is another name for it which is more familiar.
Any info you learn...please share with us...it would be appreciated!!
