Thanks Holly, I can't leave the poor thing out. I had a hard enough
time trying to remember all the other names. It seems funny not to be
including all our birds :'(
Of course, I have been thinking of getting a pig for Christmas!!
A little pig as in Guinea!!! My friend just got one (she already
has one named Fern along with an iguana, SEVERAL birds and of course
she breeds cats!) and now I want one too! Her new little teeny baby
is a Silver Agouti (ticked). I have had several years ago and have
not lost my fondness for them. Ya never know!

| Poppy cannot understand why the humans have brought a live tree
into the house and hung fake birds and mice on it.

| Skrufy and Veto (indoor-only) were *beside themselves* with joy and wonder
as I brought the tree inside on Friday night. Now the only trouble is
that they get all wide-eyed and excited every time I go out... I think
they expect me to cart in the "back 40", tree by tree!
So far (knock on wood) they haven't tried to climb the tree, but they
love trying to get those "toys" off the branches. We used only what we
thought were unbreakable ornaments, but I forgot about Skrufy's Vicious
Pillow obsession, so anything that could be remotely described as
pillowlike must, in Skrufy's mind, be tortured extensively, killed, and
its body played with until unrecognizeable. Several cloth angels have
"met their maker" in this fashion already!

Well, I'm happy to report that *my* gang has behaved like little
angels...
Well, except for Floyd sharpening his claws on a just framed photograph
of a great egret that I did for my mother. Floyd conclusively demonstrated
that cat claws are harder than acrylic plastic. He *did* try to make
amends by "helping" me reframe it though...
Anyway, they told me to wish you all a Meowy Christmas and a Happy Mew
Year.

| So far I've gotten 4 cats jumping on my keyboard at crucial times,
3 cats that insist on sitting on the inkject (while it's printing),
2 cat pees on carpet, 1 cat spray on the cabinet and a semi-projectile
food toss (interesting how they do it in a straight line); and they
did it all last night. :^)
But, they make up for it in so many ways like keeping me warm on those
cold mornings, pinning me to the bed by laying on the covers around me,
walking on my head in the morning so I don't oversleep, knocking things
off the dressers, etc. just to watch them fall and being the biggest
bundles of purring, affectionate cat fur anyone could possibly want.

So far, MeatBee the oldest is the only one causing havoc in our
house. We have a large plywood board which we set up our circular
Christmas train track on. We mount the Christmas tree stand right in
the center of the track. Well last year we decided to buy some green
fuzzy paper to cover the board, so it looks like green grass.
I heard something strange yesterday so I went out in living
room to check it out. Here was the Meathead, chewing all the paper off
the corner of the board. Yum, Yum, rip, rip. Now we have a partially
covered board! Fortunately, I found a big piece of the paper later,
so she didn't really eat enough to get sick.
Sophie the youngest, found a piece of icicle that was still attached to
an ornament from last year. It was immediately in her mouth.
Needless to say we will have no silver tinsil on our tree this year.

Happy Holidays from all the gang at the Spingler house too! I have
recieved a bowl of catnip tea! (Spots or Cinny dumped a catnip mousie
in one of the water bowls.) And a 1/2 chewed and ALL wet sheepskin
ball left in my bed for me to play with when I woke up. (I think that
was from Cinny, he likes to take a toy to bed with him!)
