663.0. "On Thanksgiving" by DRUMS::FEHSKENS (len, Engineering Technical Office) Tue Nov 23 1993 14:09

It's almost Thanksgiving, and there are two things that I'm especially
thankful for that I'd like to share with you all:

The first are my wonderful cats, three of whom (the kittens) I feel
this conference played a role in my finding, and

the second are all you wonderful feliners out there; this
conference can be an emotional roller coaster, but I wouldn't
    	give it up for anything.

663.1HAPPY T-DAY\MAYES::MERRITTKitty CityWed Nov 24 1993 05:1825
I'm glad you started this note...

I'd like to thank god for the strength, courage and love he
has put in my heart (and Ernie's) for dealing with all my
stray rescue attempts. There are so many days I just feel
so overwhelmed and want to give up...but somehow I make it through.

I'm also very thankful for this conference.....I have gained so
much knowledge, have learned to deal with many different opinions,
and you have given me so much support over the years.

And thank god for my wonderful husband Ernie...who has a heart
bigger then mine and to the rest of my family!

And for Priscilla...I'll thank everyone who has supported the Pat
Brody Shelter over the years. I find it amazing to think back to
3 years ago...and how far the shelter has come. We could not have
done it without the support from all of you.

                   HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL!!!

Please remember: Turkey can be hard to digest for a cat...so
don't over feed during the Holiday.

    so much from.

And finaly I thank god for giving Len those three wonderful kitties
so that we can enjoy his stories regurarly ;-)

663.3Thanks!NETWKS::GASKELLWed Nov 24 1993 06:0123
I would like to thank the Supreme Being (what ever it may be) for
allowing me the ability to take care of my all of the cats I have been
sent over the years. I am also thankful that I have be able to afford
to repair or replace the many items my cats have destroyed in their many
lifetimes (although the brand new sofa may be a bit beyond me it cost
several hundred dollars and under the sheet that hides the destruction
from my families eyes the fabric now looks like fun fur). I am grateful
for the love and solace my cats have given me.

I am also grateful for the guidence my cats have given me, (they told
me that when I saw more of them at night than my (now ex) husband it was
time to call it quits). I am grateful for the many love presents that
have been left on my counterpane, and for the acquisition of a skill
that, if I had not had cats, I would never have acquired: trapping live
chipmunks, frogs and mice and catching them to put them back in the wild
where they had been removed and brought indoors for "a bit of fun" by
    aforementioned kitties.

As I am on the Supreme Beings mailing list, I am assured of being
blessed by all of the above until I leave this earth and face the
hoard of my departed kitties all wanting to be fed "right now".

    Thanks a lot Big Guy!

Steve and I send our Thanksgiving Wishes to all of the FELINERS, Past
--Present --- and new ones to come. We send our warm supportive hugs
to all of your babies and "Thank You" sincerely for your support as of
    late.

To our beloved Scruffy---we give Thanks for the love that will remain
in our hearts and smile now, a bit more, over past Thanksgiving
Memories with you. Dot will eat a bit more now (will watch the gases
though!!) and Smucky will have a taste of his first Thanksgiving.

We give "Thanks" for all we have and all of the fur-faces who graced
our doorsteps in and out and we still support one more outside, Blacket
whom we hope to get her placed........ We give thanks.

663.5My thanks for this year.....STUDIO::COLAIANNII have PMS and a handgun ;-)Wed Nov 24 1993 07:4744

		I'm thankful this year for...

Feendoonie, Furby and Finnigan my resident furfaces.

Ferguson, my outdoor stray, who in the past week, has
finally, after a whole year, let me pet him!

Nick, my very loving husband who understands my love
of critters great and small, and shares the same
		    ideals.

FELINE notes, for helping me through some tough times,
and giving me wonderful advice, and just being there
whenever I needed a pick me up.

Framingham Animal Humane Society, for helping so many
otherwise unwanted kitties thoughout the year. Also
for making me a much stronger person for having been
a volunteer there for the past year. I've grown so
much inside because of this experience...

The Pat Brody Shelter for Cats, for helping so many
furfaces also, and also helping me grow, by my
volunteering for special projects with this shelter.

FELINErs, for being there for me, and for making me
laugh and cry and to share so many mutual feelings
with such wonderful people. I've never been involved
with any other group that even comes close to the
FELINERs in my mind, or my heart.

My special friends that have been there for me, and have
also helped me grow to be a stronger as well as more
sensitive person, for just having known them.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL OF YOU!!!!

	Love,

	Yonee

   I'll give thanks this year..............

........to Neely, my roommate's 16 yr old cat, for pulling a fast
one on us this past month and actually puttin *on* weight

........to the PB Shelter, for "giving" us Lipton, Missy and Patches
to brighten our lives and give us lots of cuddles & licks

........to friends, at work & in this file, who brought us Peanut
and Cuddles, the two kittens who'll always be "my first"
		and my son's first

........to whatever/whoever made it possible for me to even **HAVE**
these cats........I've always been allergic, to dogs, cats,
animals.......but in the past three years, we've grown from
one toy poodle (I KNEW I could have him !) to 5 dogs and
six cats in the menagerie and I'm only really allergic to
		one !!!!!!!!!!!

........to all of us here, who help in whatever ways we can, big &
small, to support, to care, to love and to cherish each
other and all of our individual furfaces.

HAPPY TURKEY DAY to all !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would like to say thank you for all my friends, feliners etc.
I thank my kitties for loving me and always being there when you
need a warm furry body to hold. I thank the greater power/s that
my kitties have grown to be so happy themselves. And mostly to
my husband Jimmy who is always there to either clean a box, medicate
a cat or give me support. I hope next year is even better.
    Karen in regards to:
Stinky, Ruby, Wing, Tubba, Josette, Ferret, Duke, Wizzer, Whitey,
Mary, Baby A, Lydia, Smeadge, Lynxette, Cassie, Choco and Chessie.
    and James!

                       What I am thankful for

I am thankful for my wonderful cat Harley....I can't describe the love
that he gives me. Harley and I have had a couple of rough months, but I
wouldn't trade him for anything. I love you Harley

My family....for bringing me up to be patient, caring, understanding and
loving. I also want to thank them for the sacrifices that they made in
their lives and the support that they always give me and especially giving
me the room to grow and make my own decisions. I love you Mom and Dad.

My fiance' Bob...for taking care of me and understanding the love that I
have for animals and being a great "daddy" to Harley...I love you honey!

My brother and sister.....I couldn't ask for a better brother or a sister.
They always are there for me and I couldn't imagine my life without them
I love you both very much!

Fellow feliners....This conference is wonderful and I love reading about
all the little fur faces and my heart goes out to all of the feliners who
have lost a dear kitty. God bless you. I love you all.

Here is hoping that all the feliners have a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving!

    God Bless!

I am thankful for my wonderful husband ... it's only been 3 months that
we've been married, but absolutely the happiest 3 months I've ever had.

I'm thankful for all of my wonderful furrfaces .. and my mother's
furrfaces as well. They're all so wonderful.

I'm thankful for the georgeous little Turkish Angora kitten that my
dear Kyra presented to me 5 months ago today. He's such a wonderful
    little baby.

I'm thankful for the family I have and all of the love and support
they've given me over the years ... As some of you well know, I've had
some very bad times in the last 5 years.

And finally, I'm thankful for the FELINE noters. Not only for the
wealth of knowledge and laughter in here, but for all of the support
that you have given to me and to all of the other noters in here. You
certainly are a special group of people.

It's that time of year again, and I'm happy to be able to repeat last
year's message, with the additional joy of Floyd.

Thanks to whatever might be that gave us cats that we could now what it
is to caress the tiger; thanks specifically for Merlin's 19+ years of
devoted companionship, for Rocky, Blueberry and Robin's joyous
adolescence and young adulthood, and for the astonishing experience of
Floyd growing from a runty little bag of bones to a magnificently
Big Boy in the blink of an eye, and finally thanks for all of you and
your sharing your ups and downs with these most wonderful of creatures.
