Hi, My little buddy Harley loves to scratch the side of his bowl when he is done eating. I thought that at first he was scratching in his litter box until I saw him do it. I thoughht it was kind of wierd and was wondering why he did it, but it makes him happy and he isn't destroying anything, so I just let him be. He usually lets me know when he is done eating by running out to the living room, meowing loudly like he's trying to get my attention and then jumps in my lap and purrrs loudly. He's such a joy to have. Harley's newest thing is jumping from his kitty condo and pulling down my curtain's. My Fiance' has put up the curtains 3 times over the past week and a half. I was thinking of moving his condo but I don't have the room to put it anywhere else. Any suggestions? I thought that he might be doing it ouut of spite because we aren't home all day, but I caught him in the act over the weekend. Ya gotta love him! Dawn

Break out the water pistol and shoot Harley with it when you catch him in the act. My Mocha used to perform the same trick, but after a couple direct hits from the water gun, that problem was solved! Good luck, Carl | |||||

Christopher covers his food bowl (or goes through the motions) when he's through with it too. In fact he covers any food left on the floor, or ground. I lost a lovely cup of creamy coffee that I put down for a moment to deal with a crises of some sort (probably cat related), and came back to find a pile of snow and pine needles gently steaming away where my cup had been. Once he started doing it then Charlie did it and then Lady Elizabeth as well. I swear they are going to wear holes in the floor. |
