Hi Gang,
I have a quick question... I just read a little tidbit and figured
I better check before trying it out.
*Puncture a Vitamin E 400 unit capsule and spread on your cat's food
once a week. It's a great booster for healthy skin and a lustrous
coat.*
Is this true? Has anyone ever tried this?? I'd like to try it but I
also don't want to make my babies (6) sick either....

| 611.1 | It made Pip's fur *very* silky | EMASS::SKALTSIS | Deb | Thu Sep 23 1993 15:26 | 10 |
after Pi pwas diagnosed with cancer, she was getting shark cartilage
and all sorts of vitamins, including vitamin E. It did make her coat
beautiful. I started out giving it to her every day, and was speaking
to my dentist (an animal lover himself who is very into anti-oxidents).
He told me to be careful with vitamin E, not to give it to her more
than once a week. something about it isn't water soluble, and it tends
to hang around in the cat's body possibly building up to toxic levels.
Once a week is safe though.
