    Boy, is that #1 song right!!

    My last name is Hall, and that is exactly what my cats did
    overnight last night. I have ornaments and pine needles all
    over my living room floor. But fortunately, the tree is still
    standing.

461.5It was time to take the tree downBICYCL::RYERMon Dec 28 1992 10:3315
Wreck the halls is right. Chester, my brain damaged kitty, decided he was
going to really have a go at one of the "sacrificial" ornaments at the bottom
of my tree. When he got too excited, I stood up and shouted, "Stop that, you
stupid cat!" or something to that effect. Well, he took off, with a string
of lights across his chest. The tree lurched forward and hit me (that was
the only thing that kept if from falling completely over. fortunately
the tree skirt absorbed what water came from the tree stand. About twenty
ornaments flew off the tree and the lights became peculiarly bunched about
the bottom of it. This was Christmas morning. I decided on Saturday that
it made more sense to just take it down rather than try to repair the damage.

What a look Chester gave me from under the dining room table. Sort of a
"What the heck was that?" look.
