| Jan,
...as I sit here with tears in my eyes my heart goes out to you.
Like you said, Bailey chose you! How special she is and in
remembering the times you shared together - you will treasure
her forever. Perhaps there is some truth in the addage "the good
die young". She was definitely unique and one of a kind.
Sending you condolences, prayers and a hug!

Jan, my deepest condolences to you and the rest of your family!
As someone who just went through this (well it's been 6 weeks,
4 days, & 1 hour), I know exactly how you feel. I still miss my Ebony
terribly and probably always will. He's all I think about and I dream
of him often.....in fact, it's so hard going to bed every night without
him barging under the covers to be close to me!
I'm finding it so hard right now to stop the tears from turning into a
full cry, because the pain of your loss has brought back so much of what
I went through that week he was so sick. The only thing that gets me
through this day-to-day is remembering the good times and how much we
loved eachother.......I hope your memories and good times will ease
some of your pain as well.

| I just had to share something with you and this seemed an appropriate
place to do it.
A friend of mine (vaxmail friend) from Colorado Springs just got a
kitten and her children decided it was to be named Bailey. She knew
about my kitty Bailey but I don't think her children did. I was
very honored that they chose that name. Their Bailey sounds like
she's going to be quite a character too.
The spirit lives on.

| I just got to read this note today, and it had me in tears too. I
remember that day at the flea market very vividly. You and me trying
to come up with the cash, but both of us broke. They were so nice to
let you take Bailey home anyway. She was quite a cat. And lived up to
her name. She was every bit as spunky as my tortie Bailey. :') She is
missed.
