420.0. "Cats issue of Esquire" by AIMHI::PMURPHY () Tue Oct 20 1992 10:20

    Has anyone else seen the latest issue of Esquire? It's all about cats
    and has lots of nice kitty pictures throughout; even a section with
    different breeds pictured.

    Normally I don't buy this paper but I couldn't resist when I thumbed
    through all those adorable photos. Articles are interesting too.

    Pat, it sounds great! Is it on the market now?

420.2Are you sure it was Esquire?JULIET::CANTONI_MIERROR: User Intelligence UnderflowTue Oct 20 1992 11:585
    I actually bought a National Enquirer about a month ago, because it was
    exclusively about cats. I think the big front page headline reads "250
    Exclusive Cats!" or something like that. It was fun to look at.

    Yes, I just picked it up at checkout counter in Shaw's last Saturday.
    There are 76 pages of photos as well as interesting articles. Pics of
    stars and their Cats are also included. One section is titled "Miracle
    Moggies"; stories of cats that did amazing things like one cat that
    walked 600 miles to go back to the home he loved (this cat lives in
    France). He was given to a family who moved to W.Germany and that's
    when the 22 months of travel began for "Gribouille" from W.Germany back
    to his previous owner in France.

    Maybe I got the name mixed up on mine; now, I'll have to check.
    Because that article sounds very familiar!

    Just out of curiosity are you referring to the male-oriented **magazine**
    Esquire or is this another publication?

420.7Probably is the same; it's the 1st one I boughtAIMHI::PMURPHYWed Oct 21 1992 13:415

    It probably is the male-oriented magazine except this issue is all
    about cats and includes cats of both sexes. ;^)

    Easy to figure out; was it a newspaper or a magazine?

    The Enquirer is a newspaper; Esquire is a magazine.

    I looked at it last night - mine is National Enquirer. Now I'll have
    to see if I can find the Esquire.
