| Cheryl (nice name :^), I have family in Danbury and always stay with
them. The area is very expensive. In fact, I remember commenting last
weekend about the hotel signs off the side of the highway that
advertise low rates for about $59/night and these weren't the types of
hotels I'd want you to be staying in! You might call an 800 main
number for one of the more popular chains (Comfort Inn, Fairfield Inn,
Red Roof Inn) and ask if they have anything reasonably priced in or
around Danbury.
Now, if you want to know places to shop while you are there, I could
probably be of more assistance. :^) --Cheryl

358.2 | Any suggestions? | SUBURB::TUDORK | Welcome_to_the_Jungle | Thu Mar 31 1994 03:42 | 16 |
| I've tried to find an appropriate note for accomodation..
One of my friends here in Reading has a problem. She's moving house,
but there's a delay of 17 weeks during which she is staying with
parents who already have a cat of their own.
Her cat needs a temporary home until she can move into her new place.
We're trying the Cat's protection League, local vets and shelters, but
are there any other suggestions?
There are good reasons why she can't a)leave the cat in the old house
until moving day b)put the cat in a cattery - we've considered these
options and regretfully rejected them.

| Hi Deb,
Sorry - that's Reading, England - I know this conference is primarily
US, but there are a few English noters (I know, cause I've made contact
with some of them:-)

358.5 | hotel accommodations for cats | BLAKFT::GOODWIN | | Tue Feb 27 1996 06:33 | 9 |
| My sister will be moving from Amherst, NH to Raliegh, NC next week. She
will be transporting 2 older (about 13 yrs) cats to their new home. She
doesn't want to make the trip in one fell swoop, so she is looking for
a hotel/motel/inn, south of DC, that will allow cats. Can anyone help
with recommendations?
Thanks!

358.6 | Pet Hotels | NIOSS1::DUGGAN | | Tue Feb 27 1996 06:39 | 4 |
| I have a book at home for pet hotels. I will check it out tonight.
If she is a AAA member the hotel books are very helpful, they will also
state if pets are allowed.
