| Gee, I wouldn't mess with racoons if you paid me. The average racoon is about
40 lbs, too big for my hav-a-hart trap. Also, the average racoon is a nasty
little critter. When you set it loose, it just might turn on you. I really
think if you've got a problem, you need to get professional exterminators to
help.
I've got racoons and opossums who come around to see if my outdoor kitties
have left anything behind. I make sure they haven't--when I'm around to
do it. I dunno. I wouldn't take 'em on...
Just my opinion.....

| Turn the hose on them next time you catch them digging in your
garden...
From a safe distance, of course! (:

| The shelter has caught many racoons when trying to capture cats....
and when you let them go they just turn their heads and walk away!
Gee...I think I helped another feliner who caught a opposum in a
Have-a-heart trap once too!! (ha ha - cute little thing!!)

| Yes, I know raccoons can be nasty, but we'll see how the trap works for
the first one. A FELINE noter loaned me a large HavaHeart trap, but it
does look kind of small compared to the raccoons we have. We'll make
sure we can get into the car quickly when we release the animal.
