| In light of what's happening in Los Angeles today, this helps restores my
faith in mankind.
Way to go, Steve.

| Well, Stephen Tyler is a favorite of WBCN's and he and his band
used to rehearse in the basement of the now-defunct Timothee Two's
on Route 9 in Framingham.
From what I've heard, Steve is an ok person and this confirms it.

| I never cared for the guy or the band (don't know why)...but after
reading what he did for his family and kitty...he's up there
as one of my heros!!! The picture I saw of him holding his
furface after the fire...was priceless!!

| And he (broke? Sprained?) his leg in the process.
I've always liked 'Smith - been a fan for years!

| I've actually MET Steven Tyler. Two years ago, a friend of mine and I went
to the MTV music awards. Steven Tyler and the band were in the NEXT ROOM
at the Universal Sheraton. I saw them in the hallway and was absolutely
dumbfounded! I finally asked Steve for his autograph and mentioned that I
was from Worcester, MA. He was a VERY nice guy and talked to me for
a few minutes about massachusetts.

267.6 | another Aerosmith "brush with fame" | AUKLET::MEIER | Where do the mermaids stand? | Fri May 01 1992 10:46 | 14 |
| While I was attending school in Worcester (MA) a friend of mine (call him K to
protect the guilty :-)) noticed a pair of Ferrari's outside a store, with a
guy standing in front of one of them. K asked if the car was his, and he said
yes. K asked what he did for a living. He said "ever hear of Aerosmith?" K
said "yeah, so?". He said "I play with them!"
Oh, the obligatory "mumble mumble...so nice that some people care so much for
their pets..." to keep this note on track :-)
Oh, I just saw the "Great American Disasters" show on the Cocoanut Grove fire
where Buck Jones risked (and later forfeited) his life to save other humans, so
I'm not really being flip!

| My husband's first cousin was the P.R. manager for Aerosmith for a
long time. She toured with them and everything! It's really neat to
talk with her about it.
She recently married someone in the entertainment industry, and Billy
Mummy (from Lost in Space) was at the wedding!

| I met Steve and the whole band a number of times when they were still
up and coming. They used to play at the Cricket Lounge in Ashland quite
often. I was a waitress there for a short time. They were all nice guys
then too. They weren't driving Ferarris then though! ;-) I was never a
big fan of their music, but I liked them all personally.

| I remember them playing in Dover N.H., at a St. Thomas Aquinas High
School dance about 20 years ago. They wen't famous then, and I don't
remember if they called themselves "Areosmith" at the time.

| When I was in Highschool, at Westford Acadamy, they performed for us at
a dance. They were known by Aerosmith, in the mid 70's.
