Conference misery::abc_soaps

    
    I'm SOOOO excited that I get to be reply #1!  This is exciting!!!!
    
    I'm Stephanie (from here on "--Steph") and I work at the Mill.  I
    tape GH daily and am a very dedicated fan (sometimes to the point
    of obsessive - but isn't that why we're here????).   I also watch 
    OLTL, but not real frequenlty anymore since the plots have kind of 
    fizzled out.  CJ (ASABET::C_AQUILIA) and I have an agreement that I
    tape/update Tuesday's and she does Friday's.  HI CJ!!  
    
    I loved the old conference and I'm thrilled that there's a new home 
    for "our SOAPS!"  Thanks so much to everyone who was a part of making 
    it happen!  Talk about down to the wire...

    I've been watching AMC since its debut and started GH and OLTL around
    the same time.  I try to tape when I know I have the time to watch at

    I have a terminal at home know, I can try for updates as I watch at
    night.
    

    A closet noter no more...I'm Diana Comber from Blue Bell, Pa.  I've
    followed AMC, GH, OLTL for years!  I'm also a big Knots Landing fan!
    
    I really enjoyed reading the old conference, but, I'm looking forward

Howdy!

Barbie Wagner here, coming to you live from Irvine, CalifornIA!!  I'll keep you
updated on any earthquakes in So. Cal. as well as an update now and then for
AMC!  I've been watching AMC on and off since high school, and now have my 
little sony TV here at work so I can see it everyday at lunch!  

I'm a temporary word processor and started at Digital in 89' while preggers and
then left to have my baby and came back about 5 months ago.  Glad to be back
and love soaping!  My little boy is already 15 months old.  Time Flys!

    I am Marie Hopkins and I work in Tewksbury, Ma.  I tape daily - AMC, 
    OLTL, and GH.  I've been watching GH since Moses was a child....well
    maybe not quite that long but since before Steve and Audrey were
    married.  I've watched AMC and OLTL since they began though missed a
    few years while working and before VCR's (those years I had to get
    updates from my sister).  What did we do without VCR's?!

    own person in this file)  I work in MRO1 Security. I watch all ABC
    soaps when I am near a tv (although I don't really care for OLTL since
    they have gotten so crazy), but I only tape LOVING and ALL MY CHILDREN.
    
    Glad to be a part of this file and as promised I will try each week to
    update all with the Middlesex News: Upcoming News.  Unless of course

    Hi there...  I'm Kathryn MacDonald and I work in the Media
    Communications Group for Computer Images in Bedford, MA.  I've
    been with DEC on and off since 1978 and I've been watching AMC
    for exactly 21 years this month (since it started, actually).
    
    I share my home with my 16 month old daughter, my husband, and
    my two cats (Florence and the Cowboy) and we all watch AMC together
    in the evenings.  My daughter's favorite part is the opening theme
    (she dances to it) and any scene with Molly Cudahy in it.  She
    "talks" to her and waves.
    
    I love this file and enjoy reading all of the hilarious stuff you
    people put in here.  I think it's better than watching the show.

    I am Louisa Pierce, I watch GH and Loving everyday that my I remember 
    to set my VCR.  I do alot of updates for Loving but I leave the GH
    updates to Steph, and Thel becasue they are the best.  I try to keep

    Well I guess it is my turn to re-introduce myself.  I'm Thelma Cudak,
    resident Data Administrator in the U.S. Customer Distribution
    organization, Westminster, MA.  I watch all the ABC Daytime Soaps when
    home sick, on vacation, etc. I tape and watch GH everyday, it is my
    personal favorite.  I stay in touch with the rest of the Soaps through
    the notes file, so I was really bumbed out when it was going away.  Now
    I'm cheering!  Although DC has another name for me, most people know me
    as "Thel".  I'm an old codger, with 3 sons and 2 grandaughters.  And
    no, DC, I'm not pregnant!!!

Hi Everybody!!

I LOVE AMC!! I follow Gh a little bit & know about what goes on there, but
not like AMC!! I follow AMC everyday & keep up on all of the teeny tiniest
details!!

I used to be a LOV,AMC,OLTL,GH'er, but I don't have enough time to watch all of
that Day TV with my evening couch potatoe schedule!! Geeze, I'm bad! I DO have
a life, ya know....It's just that AMC comes FIRST!!! (They're my family, too!)

I hope everything works out in this conference....I stopped participating in
the last one, cuz it seemed like  A LOT of people who don't even participate
wanted to change everything around & make the file into what THEY wanted it.
I agreed with a lot of what people had to say & disagreed with a lot of it too.
But one thing that some of the "offenders" should keep in mind is that if you
have a problem w/ someone or something you should take it off line, & not 
embarrass or insult people. Also, Opinions are just that, "OPINIONS" don't
take offense or offend people upon the basis of their opinions, we all have the
right to our own opinion. This(nor any) notesfile wouldn't be any fun otherwise.

I liked the file the way it was, but I'd hate to think we're loosing noters
due to some small problem that if discussed , could make it more enjoyable 
for ALL of us!!!.....Just my opinion, hope nobodys offended!! ;*)

Thanks to all of the people who participate in this conference! I get a kick out
of all of you & your opinions & goofy comments!! I think that if I didn't have
ya'll, watching AMC would only be 1/2 the fun!!

    I work in Merrimack, NH and have been watching AMC for almost 20
    years!!  I started watching Loving about 2 years ago.  These are
    my 2 favorites.  I don't really have the time to watch the rest.
    I travel and it's great to be able to catch up when I return.
    
    I also have a 23 month-old daughter who has been dancing to the
    theme music from AMC for about 6 months (just like Kathryn 
    MacDonald's daughter!!)  I wonder what it is......

    Hi, I'm Ron Mills, and I work at the Customer Support Center in
    Shrewsbury, MA. My wife got me hooked on AMC and now we tape and
    watch it every day. We also are big Knots fans. I tend to be more
    of a read only noter because by the time I get to look in here the
    updates are already in. I will try to be more active here than I
    was in the original conference though.

    HI!  My name is Tricia Bittinger and I work in the Derekwood Facility
    in Landover, Maryland.  I have been watching GH since my highschool
    days and got hooked on Y&R when I was home sick.  Now that I have a
    8:15-5:00 job I can no longer watch these shows.  EXCEPT...these notes
    files save my life.  I would be an updater but do not have a VCR.  Even
    when I am home sick and get to watch it - it is more interesting
    reading the updates.  IF (that's a big if) someone leaves out something
    that I have seen I will update.
    
    I am so glad that this file is not going away.  I read during lunch
    mostly and it gives me a break during the day.

I'm Terri Montoya.  I work at the DECWest facility in Bellevue, Washington.  (I 
transferred out here last year from the Mill.)  I have been watching OLTL for
over 17 years.  Sometimes I can't figure out why I keep watching it, especially
when they go through their sappy stories, but I keep on watching nevertheless.
I will continue to put in updates for OLTL as time allows.  Thank you to the

    I've been watching AMC Since I was in Jr. High, OLTL since High School
    and Loving since it started.  I used to like Ryan's Hope too.
    
    I tape the shows and watch on the weekend so I never have much to
    contribute.  I love reading the notes before I watch because it makes
    me watch the tapes closer and with more enjoyment.

    from school and my mom would have them on at lunch time).  Never get

    Hi, my name is Cindy. I a silent noter.  I work in Petty Cash at CXO-
    Colorado Springs.  My home town is Santa Barbara and I plan on being 
    there for the 4th of July to baptise my newborn who will be born some-
    time between the last week of March and the first week of April.  I
    didn't even know there was an office in Santa Barbara.  Thanks, to
    you all to made this file possible.  I never get to watch the soaps
    even when I'm home sick or on vacation because my 2 & 3 year olds keep
    me verrrry busy.  So I rely on these notes to keep me and my 12 year
    old up to date.  I read AMC, GH and OLTL.  I'll try to comment when
    I can but I'm usually behind in reading.

    Well, I must say that I was pleasantly surprised when Bonnie informed
    me this morning that this conference existed.
    
    For those of you who don't know me, (although most of you do), I am
    Cheryl Acquafresca, Scoop Reporter for the AMC file and Administrative
    Secretary in Marlboro for my real work.  I usually note only in AMC,
    although I've been known to throw my 5 cents into the others from time
    to time.
    
    I tape AMC, FF through most of OLTL, and watch GH on a daily basis.  I
    also like Knots Landing and am hanging in through Dallas.   I also
    started watching Dark Shadows Friday night since Dallas wasn't on so
    now I have to choose between Dallas and DS.  They are on at the same
    time.  Just what I need, another soap to watch!!!
    
    Thanks dc, Jan and Jo for your persistance in keeping us alive.  Now, I
    won't have FP report withdrawels.
    
    I have to admit that the previous file was making me very frustrated,
    hence the reason I stopped noting for a while.  The bickering was just
    getting out of hand and although some people were attempting some
    noting related to the soaps, the unrelated comments were unfortunately
    overshadowing the fun for me.  So, that's why you hadn't heard from me
    for a while.  I hope things are different in here, especially now that
    we have been given another chance.  Let's just have FUN!!!!

    Hi!  I'm Julie Vogelsang and I work in Customer Services in 
    the Western Area Headquarters(WRO3) in Santa Clara, California. 
    Seems like most of the noters are from the other side of the country!
    
    I started watching AMC when I was about 7 and that was when 
    Donna and Estelle were working the streets.  The only reason I 
    watched it was because my mom watched it!  I had to go with the
    flow.  I got into DOOL back then too.  Anyway, then I went on 
    to GH and Edge of Night, and I eventually filled in that hour
    with OLTL.  Sooo, now it's AMC, OLTL, and GH.  I, too, think 
    that OLTL storylines fizzle out once in a while.  All three
    are doing pretty good right now, though.  
    
    I also watch KNOTS.  I watched it when it first started and then 
    I stopped and just started back up about a two seasons ago.  I've
    been faithful with KNOTS, but that's probably because it's on only
    once a week.  
    
    Anyway, I work graveyard so I can watch the soaps during the day!  But
    then I end up getting hardly any sleep!  It is much better to record
    and FF through commercials and boring parts.

    in Quality & Reliability here in Hudson Mass.  (HLO2)!  I am a contract
    and have been with DEC for 4 years!  I enjoy reading all of these
    notes daily (abc only).  I started watching amc & gh 8 yrs ago, and
    started to watch oltl & loving 5 yrs. ago!  I LOVE THEM ALL!  Special

     HI!

     I'm Diane Edmonds, I'm an ECAD engineer in the disk drive engineering
     group at Colorado Springs.

     AMC was my first soap, watched it during the summer back when I was
     in high school (?)  Then I got into GH in college, when I had a job
     at school where I could watch TV while at work (what a great job!)
     This was about the time Alan tried to kill Rick and Monica.

     Somewhere along the line I started watching OLTL, too, and at one
     time I was taping all 3 every day - WHEW!

     I had to cut back to just GH, although I must admit that after I
     started reading the AMC updates, I'm back to recording it off and
     on.

     I share a lot of your comments with my best buddy, who works where I
     used to work before DEC.  She often wants to know what the "NOTES
     people" think about this or that.  She was as ecstatic as me when a
     new home was found for this conference!

     Watching GH without being able to read the GH notes would only be
     about 1/4 as fun!

      My name is Cathy Kerbert and I am mainly a reader of the SOAPS notes.
    I watch all of the ABC Soaps (tape them on Mondays and Fridays).  
    OLTL is my favorite of all the soaps, USUALLY.  
    I have watched these soaps for the past 20 years and have been with
    DEC for the past 15 years.   
      THANK YOU to all of the folks who are involved in keeping this
    notesfile alive and kicking!  I do appreciate reading these and would
    really miss 'em since I rely on reading updates during the week. 
      I will try and update, mostly OLTL stuff, when I can.  I am not a 
    good updater because I tend to go into too much detail, but I will do
    it if and when there is a real need.

    Secretary.  I have been watching AMC since being out on disability over
    10 years ago, and Loving since it started.  I hate to admit this
    publicly, but I prefer Loving!!! (Oh, DC will be shocked at this
    admission!) ;^)  I am also enjoying watching Dark Shadows now that it
    is back on the air.  Finally got all caught up.  They broadcast two
    shows last Friday so I got to see the show that I thought I had missed
    due to the war.
    
    This is my first stint as a co-moderator too.  Hopefully, Jan will give
    me some idea of what to do....and soon!! :^)
    
    I am really glad that Jan and DC came through for all of us.  This file
    is a lot of fun, and I enjoy getting to know all the folks that
    participate.  I have made many new friends thanks to the original Soaps

    Hi everyone!!!  My name is Renee and I work in lovely Elk Grove Village
    IL.  I work as a secretary for a software consultant and I actually
    love my job!!!  I'm usually a silent noter (one of the few times in my
    life I would call myself "silent"...) except when I ask for more info
    on something.  I read the GH notes which are always a great break from
    work and I am really happy to see Dark Shadows in here too as I think
    that is a pretty wild show.

    I have been a silent noter for sometime.  I am a definite Soap watcher! 
    My favorites are Loving, AMC and Knots Landing.  I tape my shows
    everyday and watch them every night!  My husband thinks I'm crazy!  I
    wish he would get into them, then we would be able to spend more time
    together!  Thank god for (2) TV's and a VCR!

    New Hampshire and worked there in Personnel/Employment for almost 6

Hi,

I watch all four ABC soaps, but only tape Loving and AMC.  I used to 
only tape Loving 'til this file got me interested in AMC again!  I
have watched GH the longest, since way back when before Audrey was 
married to Steve.  I remember her being accused of a murder, that was 
so long ago.  Then I got hooked on OLTL and then AMC then Ryan's Hope 
and then Loving.  I kind of went backwards as to when they were aired. 
So, I guess I've been watching for close to 15 years now.

There were a few years that I couldn't watch because I was in the 
working world.  But then I found this wonderful notesfile and now I'm 
able to keep up with all of them.  Thanks to all of you who helped in 
finding this new one.  I knew someone would come through for us! 
I  would never have the time to tape and watch them all.  My husband 
hates me taping them and I have to watch them when he's not home.  I 
envy you people that watch your soaps with your spouse!

I work at LKG in Littleton, but I live in Maynard and have lived there 
all my life.  I have a daughter who's five months old and I'm trying 
to get hooked on the soaps with me so we can team up against her dad!

Thanks for all your wonderful updates and comments.  It's great to be

    Well, let's see.....my name is Peg Stone and I work for Educational
    Services in PKO, that's Maynard,Ma......I follow the daytime
    soaps...only ABC ones mind you and have for years...but the real reason
    why I'm hooked into the file is because of Knots Landing...don't do
    anything else on Thurday nights from 10:00 - 11:00 except watch the
    gang from Knots....
    
    I just want to thank everyone for the great updates and all the laughs
    that I have had reading this file....sometimes I just burst out

    Pelham.  I have been watching Loving since 1986 or so.  That is the
    ONLY soap I watch(tape).  I never liked Soaps, but I was going home for
    lunch everyday and there was nothing else on but (BAD) news, so I got
    hooked on it.  Thank God I don't stay home all day, I'd be watching all

i am the alias cj, carlajeanne, or just plain carla aquilia.  you
can always tell my replies and notes because i am famous for never
using capitals.  i hope that no one has a problem with that.  

i work in the mill and am probably one of the most dedicated milrats
in the mill today.  you see, i work in the property management group,
specifically in the design and construction group.  i have been with
the group since 1983 and enjoy my job tremendously.  i think the mill
is great and anyone who hasn't a chance to see us in maynard corporate
headquarters should take the time to at least get up to our clock 
tower.  digital history is forever engraved in those walls.

anyways... my soap history right?  i started with gh.  soon after was
dragged into ryan's hope from my sister on the second day of their
taping and from then on it was just a matter of time that i started
watching the soaps in between.  this started in 1979 and i have been
watching on and off ever since.  i love all the abc soaps but alas,
my other half does not.   i only get to tape on fridays and if he 
isn't doing something (other than hassling me about losing intelligent
brain cells) then i get to watch them all but; i usually never get
to gh so this file is a gift to me that i will always cherish.  and,
because of that, i try to update when i can and i appreciate all the
input that goes on more than i can say.

    I'm Heather Vieira, the other "Bug Eyed Crotch Watcher" (the
    honor has also been bestowed on Lisa!) and a true, long standing
    AMC fan.  I have watched AMC since it's debut, although I must
    admit for a few years I didn't pay attention daily.
    
    I like it because I feel it is a spoof/satire on soaps.  If only
    my husband enjoyed it as much.  I truly think he doesn't mind
    it, but won't admit it.
    
    Also dedicated to LA Law.  Totally bored with GH and OLTL (gave
    up on those when the Ice Princess story line broke on GH).
    
    This file is a BLAST!  And some very nice friendships have resulted
    from it.

    as my schedule allows... however, this notes file really makes me
    feel as though I still watch on a current basis.  I LOVE THIS FILE.  It

    Well, since I have been seeing the message to sign in for the past few
    weeks, I guess I will do so now.  
    
    I was an avid reader of the SOAPS conference. I read this one because 
    GH is one of the soaps I tape.  I enjoy the enthusiasm which is shown
    by all those GH addicts who add several notes per day.  They really
    keep me laughing.  
    
    But, I STILL don't understand why the CBS soaps can't be put in here.

    I have a wonderful position in that when I don't travel I work
    primarily out of the house..unfortunetly I travel 2-3 days a week. But
    with 4 boys...13, 10, 6, and 9 months it is super!! I have tried to
    wean myself away from TV, but do watch while reading mail or doing
    trival things. On many occasions I have been tempted to update the
    notes as I watch, but sometimes it is more fun to see it first hand.

    I've been watching "AMC" ever since it started in 1971. Its the first
    soap I had ever watched, then got into "OLTL" and of course the
    following "GH". But it was actual years before I got into those soaps.
    Now my kids watch it and there living on there own now. 20 years later
    and we all still watching the soaps. AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hi, I came back from maternity leave in january and found out that
    the soaps notes files were out of business, then, I got a good tip
    and heard it's just on a new node.  I was so glad since these days
    I don't have much time to watch them anymore, now, I can catch up

    It took a couple of hours to figure out IOALOT::SOAPS doesn't exist. 
    You see - I left the company for awhile, but now I'm back.
    
    I peek (and reply) at the GH notes at least 3 times a week, so keep up

	I just found the notes file yesterday and have breezed through
	the latest GH replies.  I haven't had much of a chance to watch
	GH lately since I have just switch jobs and moved to a new town.
	I also attend night school and am getting married in 9 days.
	Thus, I think I have watched GH about once a week for the past
	month.  The last episode I watched was when Nancy was introduced.  
	This notes file will be useful to me since I have so little free
	time lately.  Maybe when my life settles down I can start watching
	again!

    am a true fan to AMC.  I work as a Secretary at the Chicago Loop
    Office.  I enjoy reading all the notes and I am almost getting brave

    tech support for vendor equipment (ugh!).  
    
    I lost the SOAPS file after being out sick for 6 months, and just

    	I've been here for awhile and just never signed in.  Well, as you
    can see, I'm doing it now.
    
    	Michelle Riccio, SHR (Shrewsbury, MA) I work second shift as an
    Operator.  
    
    	I usually watch Loving and AMC when I'm home.  That's the great
    part about working second shift.  As soon as AMC is over I take my
    shower and then come to work.  And as soon as I get to work I read
    all the updates. 
    
    	Since I have been here for awhile just reading and not noting, I
    have seen the comments to DC.  Just wondering from what I can tell,
    this guy is by the pool all day long and has 3 women chasing him in is
    tiny bathing suit?  Sounds like the perfect male life?
    
    	Well, I'm off to the birthdays now.  I'll be putting in my comments
    every now and then!

    Yep, that's dc.  From what I can tell, the guy doesn't work.   He just
    lays by the pool day in and day out, with women swarming all over him
    singing his favorite Dr. Pepper commercials.  In case you didn't know,
    these are his all time favorite tunes.  Then he tunes into his soap and
    drools over Nasty Natalie, whom I still believe he has nothing but
    complete and utter respect and lust for.  Just think dc, you could
    claim an astronaut for a father-in-law (Michael Collins, Kate's father)
    if you would only take that plunge with Nasty Nat.

    Well I guess it's about time to get involved, having been a soap fan 
    for sometime and a read-only member of this conference.
    
    My name is Pat Geary and have been with DEC for 15 years.  Started on
    2nd shift back then and became a real soap addict.  I work at the
    Dascomb road facility and presently on the 3rd shift so sometimes
    my sleep interferes with my soap operas and this conference has 
    really been great.  I have to say the ABC soaps are the ones that
    really have my interest but over the years have included : Y&R, GL,
    and if anyone recalls the Edge of Night which I really miss.
    
    Well I have introduced myself and hopefully will have some worthwhile
    inputs here.
    
    

    
    I just did a listing of this note and realized I've never entered
    myself in here.
    
    My name is Patty Makrianis and I've been with DEC for 6 years. I 
    started watching All My Children when I was in 7th grade and I was
    on morning sessions at the junior high (two schools where using one
    building). I didn't get into GH until high school and then OLTL just
    kinda fell into place. I watched Ryan's Hope from the beginning and
    then when Loving started I watched that from the beginning.
    
    I was just home for 4 months on maternity leave (Anna Sophia, born
    May 3rd) and it was great to watch whenever I wanted. Now I don't
    have anytime to watch them if I tape since I don't sit down to relax
    at night until 9pm sometimes. This file is great to keep up on things.

       D.C. office 3 months ago.  I am an admin secretary in GSG.  I am a soap

    Well since this is "Come out of the Closet" day, I decided to come out
    and say hello.
    
    I think this file is GREAT! - I read AMC and absolutely love Tracey's
    updates.  I tape the show but don't get around to watching the shows for 
    quite some time, so at least I know what's going on.  As a matter of fact 
    I am like a week and a half behind with the tapes.  Some people may say 
    well, if you know what's going to happen, why watch - but I like seeing 
    the actors and watching the show.
    
    AMC is the only daytime soap I watch.  Knots Landing is my favorite
    soap of all though.
    
    I really like all the notes that go on in this file.

    My name is Kim Kreidler and I work both in Boxboro and Maynard, MA.
    
    Since there are other Kim's in the file and there is already a KK
    (although she is from LA and not MA) I will be going by K�.
    
    I admit I am a soap-a-holic!  I tape all 4 abc soaps and if I happen to
    be home during the day I also switch back and forth between Days of our
    Lives and Santa Barbara.  I don't know how I keep track.
    
    I think all of the updates are the greatest and I look forward to

    My name is Nancy.  I've been watching AMC on & off for about 14 yrs.
    I love it, and now that I've been reading the AMC notesfile it is
    more funny than ever!  DC is great and the FP is super, keeping us
    in stitches.  My husband and I watch the soap at night and when I 
    tell him the nicknames you have for the characters he laughs.
    Well I had to get out of that closet, cause I had to comment on
    yesterday's AMC show and it was getting hard to see thru the peephole.

    Hello, my name is Mary Stennett and I work in the Landover, MD facility
    in software services.  I have been following AMC since Erica was in
    High School and I love the comments in this notes file.  My husband,
    who is also a DECie, mentioned this file to me and I have been
    closet-noting for about a week now.  I thought it was about time for a
    proper introduction.  I used to watch GH and OLTL until the story lines
    entered the bizarre zone.  I tape the show daily and my husband and I
    relax with a glass of wine and AMC after work.  We both enjoy the
    fashion police as well as the other comments about our favorite
    characters.  Thank you all so much for the notes file.  I will try to
    add a comment when I have something of note to say.

I'm Sandy Humphry... I work as a Software Developer on the Boeing
SMARTS project here in the GREAAAAAAAT Northwest (Seattle Area).

I don't log into my DEC account very often (we use Boeing's computers);
usually just to read mail and catch up on the Soaps conference.
I just recently re-found you guys...and have been busily reading away
(DC, you just slay me!!!).  I have kept up with AMC, OLTL, and GH on and
off for many years...At one point I was taping all three every day, but
that quickly became too, too much so now I just keep up thru Soap Opera
Digest and this great conference.

P.S.  This is what was happening when I first got hooked(I was 11 or 12):
          AMC
             Phil/Tara were together when I first tuned in.  I remember
             Ruth and Joe's wedding, Anne and Nick's divorce, Phil and
             Tara's "wedding" before he shipped off to Vietnam.
           GH
             When I started watching this one, Steve and Audrey were
             the premier couple(little Tommy Baldwin(now Hardy) was just
             a babe---luckily I have aged a bit more slowly than he has!!).
             Lesley Webber was one of my favorite characters. And, of
             course, L&L.
           OLTL
             The first memory I have of One Life is the Joe-coming-back-
             from-the-dead storyline (Viki/Steve/Joe triangle) -- Larry
             and Meredith were married.  Victor Lord was still "Lord" of
             the Manor.


    

    Hi, I am Cynthia Mixon. I am System Specialist at the CSC in Atlanta,
    the only soap I watch in this file is Knots Landing.  I am really
    hooked on Knots.  I have a question is Home Front and soaps that could
    be added to this notes file.  I never pay attention to what station
    shows it, I only know that it is hard to find in the  TV notes file and
    was hoping it could be added here.

    keep my attention.... GH - could this show get any worse!  I have
    been very disappointed in it... too predictable...

    Hi All, to those of you that remember me ........I"M BAAAAACK!!!!  I
    left DEC in September after 2 1/2 Long years of temping for the
    DataCenter in Landover, MD.  But as my good fortune I am back with the
    telcom/utilities sales group in Landover, right next door to my old
    office!  I am so happy to be back in the notes file again!  I got the
    sheer pleasure of staying home for 4 months and got to see AMC every
    single day!!  Though this had to end as all good things do, I get to
    have you all and I'm Thrilled!!!!!  I have my radio with the tv band so
    when I have time to listen i'll give some input otherwise I'm happy
    just to comment with my one note a day and to read!!

    Hi all! Barb Towle here. I work at the NI0 facility in Salem, NH in the    
    Option Test group.  I'm an AMC fan who tapes all the shows. I started
    watching last summer so I was in the dark about a lot of things. It's
    great to look back through the AMC history to find out who's who. I

    HI!  I am thrilled to find somewhere to discuss AMC.  I somehow
    overlooked this conference when I started with DEC months ago.  I only
    have about 4 more months here before I leave for Teachers College but
    in those 4 months I hope to contribute to the AMC discussion.  I've
    been a faithful viewer for ages, and love the show.  I'm in Toronto at
    TRC and participate in the Star Trek, SF and Space conferences.

    I just love to read your updates. The humor is great,and I don't even
    watch AMC. I don't have to with you guys!  I'm sorry to say, but I
    watch all Ch.7.  Y&R,B&B,ATWT,GL!  They are my habit! I work third
    shift and tape the shoes everyday. I almost made it to your last AMC
    dinner in Boston, but ended up going to a DUDE RANCH in New York
    already booked in advance. I make it one of these times. Another
    silent noter and myself were gonna just pop in for a drink. Keep up
    the good work, I don't know how you people have the time. You must

    HI, my name is Betty Correa, I work in MRO1 security along with RED.
    I've been watching AMC as long as I can remember, since Erica,
    Chuck,Phil and Tara were in High School..........guess I'm dating
    myself! I've been watching GH and OLTL forever too. Red just got me
    interested in Loving in the lasrt year or so.
        This notesfile is great and y'all keep us up to date and definitely
    keep me laughing.!

    Hello fellow noters, I am shaun bennett located in research triangle
    park (the Raleigh/Durham) are of North Carolina.  The node is
    AUNTB::BENNETT.  Originally, I hale from NJ my first love.  That's
    right I still claim it openly.  Having been a translplant in NC since
    86 one must find something to do after the job is done.  Too hot for me
    to partake in outdoors events as well as too many bugs, insects etc. 
    So my hand with vrc each day have a thrilling experience with AMC and
    also I read OLTL.  HOwever for some strange reason if I dont get my AMC
    fix I begin to get ill.  OLTL doesn't have that effect on me thougth! 
    
    Oh well, I had to start somewhere and I got tired of reading and never
    responding so add another mad soap hatter to the list!!!

    interrupted the serial: it's incredible!

    Don't remember if Bobby and Pam are back together.  And, they ended
    the show with a gunshot.  We didn't see what happened.  We don't 
    know if JR is dead or not but it was supposed to look like he committed
    suicide.  However, he could have shot at the devil figure he was seeing
    in the mirror.  We may never know what really happened.

    weeks.  I personally never watched Dallas.  I think there is/was a
    notesfile on Dallas.  I will check with a friend who used to watch

      Hi!  My name is Cindy and I work out of the littleton area.  I have 
      been reading the abc_soaps file for about a year now.  This is really
      helpful since I only get to watch my soaps when I am out sick or on
      vacation.  I used to tape them but now that my daughter is three she 
      sort of has the run of the T.V. when I am not home.
    
      I think that everyone is doing a great job with this file.
