1496.0. "Price Drop For The New Year" by AQUA::ROST (But the kids can't dance to it) Fri Jan 27 1989 12:33

I just got the latest Noteworthy supplement and they announced that
the 1989 catalog will be delayed because they are waiting to hear
about price *reductions* from their suppliers.

It seems that one supplier has cut their cost so that Noteworthy
wil be selling CDs that used to be at $11.xx for $9.31 !!!!

Hopefully this cut of two dollars or so will be felt at the retail
    level as well.

Another thing: Arista is ramping up 3" CDs, mostly oldies ala Rhino,
    but only three tunes per.

1496.2New NOTEWORTHY catalog is out!GLASS::HULLHallalujah!! The Resurrection (Plan A) has come!Sat Feb 04 1989 17:3817
I just got the new NOTEWORTHY 1989 catalog today. What a pleasant
surprise - they've completely revamped the size and format - now a full
size, like TIME or NEWSWEEK, with separate classical and popular
sections. The classical splits into 2 lists, all Phillips/DGG/etc
label (code POC xxxxx) and then all the TELARC discs in their own list.
Prices look good across the board.

The listings text format now has more room for expanded text, etc, and
its easier to read the items.

They also now take M/C, Visa and Discover for charge orders.

    Enjoy!
