--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here's a real wierd one that maybe our British brethren could help
us out with (maybe I'll cross post this in records & CD).

I picked up a CD titles "GET BACK" which features not only alternate
studio versions of what appeared on "Let It Be," but also the WHOLE
rooftop concert from the film (including the interviews on the street,
etc.)...total time is 60+ minutes. That isn't wierd, but what seems
to be is that the jacket has both the EMI/PARLAPHONE logo and the
APPLE logo. It gives this info: Producer: George Martin; Engineer:
Geoff Emerick; Cover Photo: Angus McBean; Inside Photo: Ethan Russell.
It's number is CD PCS 7080 2 (TWK 2262), it carries the EMI RECORDS
LTD - Hays Middlesex England (Made & printed in Great Britain).
It even has a SPARS code (AAD) and a copyright of 1969 Original
Sound Recordings Made by Apple Records Ltd.

The CD itself is labled thus: THE MARTIN MIX - PCS 7080 2; Made
In Korea - EIGHTEEN TRACKS (PROMOTIONAL) Copyright 1969 1988. And
it even carries the COMPACT DISC DIGITAL AUDIO logo on the disc
    and on the "jacket."

So...is this a legitimate release ?? Or is someone trying to get
one over on us. I've no complaints about the sound quality of the
studio tracks - but there is some distortion at the high end. The
"film" rooftop concert has some hiss, but what really great interesting
stuff. This disc cost me $25 - but sure "enhances" the Spector
"bastardization" mix of these tapes. They should've gone with these
and let Spector stay within his "walls of sound."

Have any U.K. noters seen this gem ??

p.s. Forgot to mention - the "real" count of FULL tracks is closer
to 15, even though the CD says 18 and the "jacket" lists 20. Some
are false starts & studio chatter and out-takes from them screwing
around in the studio. Whatever...it's all good stuff. Plus we get
to hear Billy Preston really play a decent solo in 2 of 3 "get back"
    takes.
