I would be interested in finding out where classical Indian (both Hindustani & Carnatic) music on CDs can be obtained. Any info would be appreciated. I've heard the "Nimbus" brand produces some Indian CDs, would anyone happen to have their address? Thanks, Hemant.

If you can find a copy of Grammophone magazine, they will have the address and ads. I recall seeing an ad for Indian music in the magazine a while back. I forget what label. You could also try asking at a store called The Electric Grammophone located in Sudbury. He may or may not have the records. He handles only classical music, but I do not know if that includes Indian classical music. But he will at least know where to find it. The Harvard Coop in Cambridge carries a very wide selection, and may well have the disks you want. |
