If you are like me, and you've just been putting off buying a CD player because you"just have too many albums"...Guess Again! It's time to buy! Bradlee's in Leominster had a Sharp 20 memory programable on sale this week for $129.00. I bought one, and I *LOVE* it!!! The sound is just unbeleivable, and the ability to program to your own taste is really nice! I don't think you'll see a cheaper price this year, and in spite of the price, the unit seems to be well made, and a great deal! I guess time will tell, but I can assure you that I am one happy camper!!! D.A.

I just got one here in Colorado Springs from Fred Schmidt (big chain) for $97.79. I had been waiting for CD players to go below $100 and here was my chance. I hooked it up and the sound was what I was expecting after listening to a friend's system. It is the Sharp Model DX-670. As you expect from this type of device, the reproduction is clean, crisp, quiet and natural. I was especially impressed with the lack of bass overload intermodulation but I have had to put up with that ever since I moved into a house with wood floors. I tried out the programming - easy and works but I see no point in it. For me the only nice feature is getting to a particular track on the rare occasion when I don't want to hear the whole thing. But at this price, can I ask 'em to remove the baggage? I agree with -.1! You can't go wrong on this one. Chuck |
