1426.0. "SONY CDP-C15ES!" by HILLST::AMELI () Fri Dec 09 1988 07:33

    Well I finally bought the CD player I have been wanting for a while.
    It's a CDP-C15ES SONY. It's been less than a week now and I'm playing
    around with it, figuring out the different features. It's a 10 disc
    changer. It's a great looking player and it's build like a tank.
    It weighs around 15lb and feels solid as well. It sounds great.
    Any one out there have had a longer afair with this beast? Like
    to hear it...

    Regards,
    ALi Ameli

    Does it have the forgot-which-track-it's-played-on-each-disk bug
    or have they fixed it? Also, can it shuffle-play the custom file
    selections?

    There is a review of the CDP-C15ESD in the January issue of
    Digital Audio's CD Review (new name of Digital Audio and Compact
    Disc Review).

    So far no problem with the forgot-which-it's-played-on-each-disk
    bug. I guess time will tell. have'nt tried the shuffle-play on the
    custome file selection yet, however it shuffle-plays either over
    single disk or the entire 10 discs! I'll find out about the rest.

1426.4Can you check it out for us?SNDCSL::SMITHIEEE-696Wed Dec 14 1988 10:246
    One way to tell fairly quickly is to use the AMSS "fast-forward"
    button to skip to the next song once the player has shuffled. Write
    the disk/track down and compare to previous ones. The CDP-C70 played
    3 or 4 songs at least twice within 25 selections on a test I did.
