1388.0. "not supposed to be *that* much of a rip-off" by PSW::WINALSKI (There is no 'c' in 'supersede') Sun Nov 13 1988 13:22
Regarding the note attached below (accidentally entered as a reply in the
U2 "Rattle & Hum" discussion):
My copy of THE FINAL RIPOFF has two discs with different material on each one.
I suspect that you've fallen victim to a mistake on their production line,
where a group of disc 1's accidentally got labeled disc 2 (or vice versa).
Anyway, the album is not intended to be that way--your copy *is* defective.

Has anyone else bought Monty Python's *The Final Ripoff* double
CD set and discovered that although the discs are labeled differently,
they contain the same material?
I've just come across a second set, exchanged for the first (which
I thought was defective) and once again, two discs with the same
stuff on it.
Am I just not getting the joke here? Is it Python's way of getting
back for having *Matching Tie and Handkerchief* be a three-sided
album.
