I have a Sharp CD player that appears to have a power problem.
When you turn it one the power light comes on and you can hear humming
however the digital read out on the display pannel doesn't light
up or display and information. None of the switches work either,
such as opening the cd draw or any of that. Is there anything
that I should be looking at that I don't know about or perhaps
someone may know of a place I could take it for repairs. It has
worked in the past, but it doesn't want to now. I would appreciate
any suggestion or help I could get with this problem. I really
miss listening to it.
Thanks,
Charlene

You might try looking in the back for a reset switch, or at least
unplugging the unit and then plugging it in again. Some components
have little computers inside that sometimes have to get rebooted
to allow the electronic controls to operate.
