There is a new CD store in Nashua that deals exclusivly in
    compact discs,and sells used CD'c for $8.00
    the owner seems really friendly+helpful
the location is in lamplighter square{of DW highway}across
from the Pheasent lane mall.there is also quite a few
    import cds-the store does'nt have a sign up yet,but it's
    well worth finding. JT

The store is "Nashua Compact Disc", apparently related to Manchester
Compact Disc. If you get one of those "Tri-Mark" advertisement
envelopes in the mail with bunches of coupons, one of them is worth
a dollar off any CD at the new store.

Well I went in, and it looks like just another CD store to me.
No real bargins. What I thought was the USED CD selection was really
the import section (they looked used to me, though their prices
weren't :-). I finally asked the gentleman behind the counter
(who looked like Jerry Garcia's brother; is that the owner?) where
the USED CD section was, and he ended up going behind another counter
and dragged out a cardboard box half-full with USED CD's. Not what
I would call an impressive selection.

I'm afraid the only good thing I can say about them is they did
have a pretty good selection of Elvis imports.

Also, be forwarned that they have non-standard hours. It took me
my third try to find them open. Don't be fooled either by the sign
in the window that *always* says "OPEN".

I, too, was mostly unimpressed when I went there Friday
afternoon. The import section was the only thing of interest
for me (the regular CD's seemed to be on the order of $1-2
more than at Rockit Records which is virtually next door).

While there were some interesting imports (they do seem to
have more Japanese imports than any place I've seen other than
maybe Tower), there weren't any that reached out and screamed,
"Buy me please!" Mostly, they seemed to be for popular artists,
most of whom (like Elvis or Elton John) I'm just not interested
in. The Queen selection was impressive, but I already have all
of the Queen CD's I want.

If they had some of the more obscure Japanese discs that I'm
aware of, like Karla Bonoff's WILD HEART OF THE YOUNG or the
couple of Strawbs albums I know of, then I'd've been happy as a
clam. I will probably drop in there, whenever I go to Rockit, to
scout out what they have for imports but I won't expect much.
