1268.0. "POCO on CD" by MEMORY::CHAVIS (They laughed when I sat at the keyboard) Fri Jul 15 1988 12:15

Does anyone know of existance of POCO on CD? All I have found
were the greatest hits. Not too interested in that compilation
since there is alot more that I like on the albums. I
particular CD Im looking for is "A Good Feelin to Know"

    Any help would be appreciated,
    Ira

If you're in the E. Mass., S. N.H. area, check Rockit Records. Seems
that I saw stuff other than complilations.

Noteworthy lists "Legend" from their MCA period.

Other then the "Greatest HitS" (which is done *very* poorly),
"Legend" is the only other that I've seen. Me, I guess "Deliverin"
and "From The Inside" are my favorites.
As an aside, a friend in Denver sent me an article out of a
Denver newspaper (POST or ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS) with an interesting
article about the original POCO getting back together for an album
(CD) and a tour. Richey Furay had been vacationing with Jim Messina
and decided that if they could have fun together they would do it.
They did and they are. The album is to be recorded and released
some time next year with the tour to start in May and go through
September of next year. Furay said that all attempts to get the
original Buffalo Springfield together had been useless with too many
    clashes of personalities.

The original POCO was Furay (now a minister in Boulder Colorado),
guitar, Messina (of Loggins and...), lead guitar, Rusty Young
(the only active original remaining member), pedal steel and dobro,
George Grantham, drums, and Randy Meisner (who left POCO to help
form the EAGLES), bass. Interesting also that when Meisner left
after the first lp, he was replaced by Timithy B. Schmit who also
replaced Meisner when he left the Eagles.

    	What's on "Greatest Hits"?

I'd like to see "Head over Heels" on CD; worth it for the first track
    alone...

"Head over Heels" is in Tower records, Boston. I didn't buy it,
so I can't say what it's like (but maybe I should have done; too
late now as it's 3 500 miles away...)
