For all Jethro Tull fans in the US who have been waiting
patiently for some of their CDs to be released - good news!
All their CDs are available in the US now - Heavy Horses,
Too old to rock n'roll..., Stormwatch, "A", Under Wraps and
Passion Play have been released. They are all priced in
the low end (I bought mine from Noteworthy for under $7!) too.

According to an article in the Boston Globe, a 20th anniversary
boxed set of Tull will be issued on CD within the next year.

Does that mean "17" will finally get legally issued in the US??

I tried to get "Thick As A Brick", but I failed since 6 month.
It seems not to be available in GY.

I don't know about "GY", but I've had my THICK AS A BRICK for quite
some time. The copyright date on the back indicates that it has
    been available since 1985.

The catalog number is Chrysalis VK 41003. DIDX 401.

I'm surprised no-one's mentioned Ian Anderson's solo album, _Walk
into Light_ (Chrysallis 1983). It's superb.

Yes, I've got _Walk into light_. I think I've got over half of the
Tull (Tull related albums) on disc by now. The only one I've never seen
however, is Bursting out, a 1978 live double album. Has anyone heard of this
being out on disc?
FYI: There is some discrepancy between the _Living in the Past_ disc and
the double album on record. I guess, in an attempt to fit it on one CD, they
did a little creative cutting. I forget exactly which songs are involved, but
on my disc, the song "indside" (from benefit) is added and one or two songs are
removed. Luckily the versions of the removed songs may be found on other disks.
I have a friend who has _Living in the Past_ on disk, and there is a slightly
different selection of songs. It turns out that one of the songs he is
missing is not found on any other album. So if you want to buy _Living in the
Past_ on disc -- Beware. I can't remember which song is missing on his disc.

1210.7"Live" is out??KOALA::ABBOTGypsy of a strange and distant timeFri Jan 13 1989 08:5615
I haven't seen "Bursting Out" in any stores yet - perhaps they're
    anticipating its release.

"Living In The Past" - on my copy, which is probably the first pressing
since I got it when it came out, they deleted "Teacher" and "Bouree",
both can be found on earlier albums.

The latest Rolling Stone says they're reissuing "Passion Play" and
eliminating the gap between what used to be the break between sides
    1 and 2.

Now if they'd put out more Fairport Convention, Procol Harum,
    Uriah Heep,...

What about "Thick as a Brick"? When I bought the CD I didn't expect there
to be a gap between the first and second sides, but there it was. At least
the music is very quiet at that point (just the wind). I think I'll wait to
buy "Passion Play" if what you say is true.

BTW: Tower in Boston were selling all JT CD's for $7.99 or $8.99
last weekend. Looked to be permanent prices, too.
