    Hello folks:
    
    I just recently added this conference to my notebook.  I see some
    old notes about CD players and prices, but no recent ones....
    
    Would someone give me a good idea of prices for a player, and what
    kind of features the average player will have?
    
    I'm finally considering buying one.

    Hi Howie, If you don't read the AUDIO conference on DSSDEV::, then
    add that too.  The prices have halved and the quality has doubled
    about every two years since CD arrived.  If you read around a bit
    in the various conferences, you will find out the situation.
