Just to generate interrest...You wanna hear my "cheapest CD player" story?
I was watching the papers for sales on stereo equipment and saw
a Christmas sale on Sharp CD players. My son went and bought one
of them. It was a Sharp DX650 and he paid $116. It sounds great
and we both enjoyed listening to it. Then one day (2-JAN-88) we
wandered into a store called LaserLand (in Colorado Springs) to
buy some CD's for Nate's new CD player. They had the best deal
I have found so far on CD players.
The deal is, put down a $100 deposit and take a Sharp DX660 home.
Buy 2 CD's from them per month for 12 months and they give you back
your $100. What a gimmic to get customers to buy CD's. I still
have not figured out the catch yet. They have the same or lower
prices on CD's and they have the greatest selection I've seen so far.
I think I'm going to like this.
Anybody else have an interresting story about their CD player?
