Well, another new CD store has reared its head, in Worcester MA of all places. It's called RiffRaff and is on Park. Ave. about two blocks past the HoToy restaurant if you're heading towards Webster Square. It's in a big white house, across from the local Dole campaign headquarters. The emphasis is on rock, they have some interesting imports and *lots* of hardcore/thrash stuff....how about a whole bin full of Meat Puppets, Husker Du, Minutemen, etc. Jazz and classical are a bit weak, essentially no folk yet and a smidgen of used stuff. They are only a month or so old and looking for suggestions of what to stock. Prices are the usual $14.99-15.99 but they are currently discounting everything an additional two bucks and said they are hoping to make that the new list price. One good deal they had as a promo of the Boss' Centrum stay was I picked up "Tunnel of Love" for $10.99, a buck less than anybody else has had it for. Worth a visit at least. Brian

re, .0 Didn't like the comment about "Worcester MA of all places". Bought a house there 8 years ago after an extensive survey of urban living. My house has appreciated 140%, and the city looks better every year. We used to go to Boston to eat, but no longer need to. Get'n better all the time - - - and CD stores also. Thanks for the info on the new store, I'll check it out. Jeff, a Worcester Booster | |||||
