[ just when i'm figuring out what i want!]
I an new to this file so if any of the afficionadoes out
there can help me-great!
I was all set to purchase a sony cdp-c5 multi disk player
and my distribution friend informed me that they are discontinued!!!
AAARRRGGGHHH! I had my ears set on the unit (and my wallet too because
i could get it REAL cheap) and now its not available by the
distributors, only what's left out there in retail land.
Does anyone know *why* it was discontinued and what will
be replacing it and how soon? Or is my distributor smoking his front
lawn? I am seriously bummed!
I'm not up to paying significantly more for retail---yet---- if
i can get wholesale. This unit is very well regarded by my audio
buddies and I can't figure out why Sony has discontinued it.
Any help you can lend would ****really**** be appreciated. This
notes file is excellent and I enjoy reading it.
Help-the silence is deafening!

re .1
well i called Sony and they said it *has not* been discontinued.
he indicated that the distributor was probably out of them and was
trying to sell something else. so much for ethics. i'll have to
call him back and give him a good slap over the phone ;^)
sorry for the confusion. rookie mistake.
thanx for the help.

I've seen the Sony 10 pack player down to $499, thought that
might mean a discontinuance, but it keeps going.
