1083.1 | D-70 = D-7? | QUARK::LIONEL | We all live in a yellow subroutine | Wed Feb 10 1988 07:48 | 6 |
| I think (but am not certain) that the D-70 is known as the D-7
in the US, and you'll see lots of comments on that. However, the
D-7 is an obsolete model, superceded by the D-10 (D-100 elsewhere)
that is much improved in many ways, including vibration resistance.

1083.2 | Sony No Baloney | IRT::NAEGELY | Spud's Mackenzie's #1 Fan | Thu Feb 11 1988 12:37 | 8 |
| I have the older Sony Model D-3 which is very susceptible to
vibrations. So as long as you don't try to jog with it works find
and the sound is just incredable. Its a nice way to pass the time
on the NY subway system.

1083.3 | And such a bargain... | CLUSTA::TAMIR | ACMS design while-u-wait | Fri Feb 12 1988 08:17 | 8 |
| I have a Sony D-77 (the D-7 with AM/FM...big deal). Anyhow, it
is also very susceptible to vibrations. A friend visiting here
from Europe just bought a DT3 (which replaces the D-3, I guess).
It was much better than my D-77 at withstanding vibrations. He
also commented that it was priced at less than 1/2 of what he would
have paid at home. I think it's time I replaced my D-77...
