| I believe Circular Motions on Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road in Cupertino
offers the same service. They have a good stock and their usual
price is $13.99 apiece. This is the only store I have seen in this
area which has just the jewel boxes on display; the actual CDs are stocked
behind the counter.
They also have a policy of buy 20 get one free.

1080.2 | Milfod MA cd store directions | CIMAMT::CHINNASWAMY | | Tue Feb 09 1988 13:17 | 20 |
| Which Milford do you mean? I live in Milford Massachusetts and there
is such a place here. You have to take the 109 exit off of 495 (it's
the third exit south of the mass pike Rt. 90 I believe). I can't
remember the name of the store but I can give you the directions:
Take Rt. 109 toward Milford (a right if your comming south on 495)
go about 50-75 yards and take the first right after Burger King.
Go down the road a little ways (you'll pass the Sheraton in Milford)
At the first big intersection take a right. There will be a little
shopping center on your right just a short way down the road. the
store is toward the back end of the center. If you pass under 495
then you've gone too far. I havn't been there in a while, but if
you are really interested I'll make a note to drive by it and get
the name and too make shure there still there ( I've been ordering
from CBS lately) I hope you were looking for Milford Mass otherwize
; well maybe someone else can use the info).
good luck

| The name of the store is untouchable sound. The prices are very
high, as in list price. The lady who works there told me they have
no competition around Milford so that is why the price is so high.

1080.5 | Electric Grammaphone | XANADU::BIRDSALL | | Thu Feb 11 1988 10:56 | 18 |
| The couple who run Electric Grammaphone have always seemed willing
to play a questionable CD. EG has one of the best classical collections
in New England (that's all they have is classics). They are located
in the Mill Village in Sudbury, Mass. (in the back, up three flights
of stairs). Try to catch them on a non-Saturday if you can.
Their prices aren't cheap. But after you have waded through a
collection at Lechmere, you will pay the extra bucks to buy from
a dealer who understands what he's selling. The guy who works there,
personally owns about 850 CD's and will make recommendations when
asked for assistance.
I asked them to play a CD for me, and they also picked up three
others they thought might interest me. Nice folks
For me, it's about 120 miles, round trip - and worth every inch.

How about play before you buy for FREE. My local library has a
pretty good collection of CDs that you can take out for a week.
I have enjoyed many of them for the price of a trip to the library.

| Try before you buy is alive and well!
"Untouchable Sounds" has just opened a new store in Shrewsbury MA.
It's at the Olde Shrewsbury Village mall and, like the Milford MA
store, lets you sample CDs before you buy. Besides several players
with headphones, there is a listening room with a massive Technics
system. I tried several discs before settling on a splendid Telarc
disc of Bach organ music.
Oddly enough, I found the prices here to be very competitive, even
against such chains as Strawberries. Selection? Mostly rock and
pop, but with a good size selection of classical, jazz, new age
and even country.
Let's hear it for listening rooms!
