1077.0. "Blondie" by TOOK::MICHAUD (Jeff Michaud) Fri Feb 05 1988 21:24

    I can't believe it, not one note, not even a reply about
    "Blondie"!

    I just bought "The Best of Blondie" on CD. It sounds even better
    on CD than on LP.

    And all the cuts are great! No need to worry about programming
    your CD player to skip any.

    Here are the cuts:

    	Heart of Glass, Dreaming, The Tide is High, In The Flesh,
    	Sunday Girl, Hanging On the Telephone, Rapture, One way
   	or Another, (I'm Always Touched By Your) Presence Dear,
    	Call Me (Theme from American Gigolo), Atomic, Rip Her
    	to Shreds.

    Who ever said that Playboy Bunnies couldn't have talent also?!

1077.1First 4 on budget disc2HOT::KARDONSat Feb 06 1988 16:2610
    Blondie's first 4 albums are particular favorites of mine.
    I don't particularly care for their last few. I was especially
    pleased when all four (_Blondie_, _Plastic Letters_, _Parallel_Lines_,
    and _Eat_to_the_Eat_ all came out on discount disk.

    The sound is good on these four. Unfortunately, no lyrics were
    included. I'm curious if lyrics were included when the discs
    originally came out (before they became part of the budget line).

         I give high marks to Blondie's "Autoamerica" CD, which is also
    available as a discount CD.

1077.4Quantity vs. QualitySTAR::JACOBIPaul Jacobi - VAX/VMS DevelopmentTue Feb 09 1988 07:0812
    I, too, recently bought "The Best of Blondie". However, I choose
    the LP version rather that the CD. The LP version was discounted
    to $4.99, which is almost 1/3 the price of a CD.

    Don't neglect the budget priced LP. They are an excellent and
    inexpensive way to obtain older releases. By sacrificing a little bit
    of quality, I can obtain THREE times the amount of music.

    Re: .-2

    I already had the LP (and it is in great condition), that is
    why I didn't hesitate to buy the CD. These things are just
    so addictive and easy to use, that I hardly touch my LP's.

         I looked through my copies of the first four albums and only
    found "Parallel Lines" to have lyrics. I know that the first came
    with an unprinted liner, and I believe the second also did.

    I bought "The Best of Blondie" on CD a few weeks back. I only had
    "Parallel Lines" on LP. I like the CD, it has good material and
    it sounds good too.

    Until this weekend, I only had PARALLEL LINES on CD. This weekend,
    I picked up BLONDIE, PLASTIC LETTERS, and EAT TO THE BEAT for
    $7.75 each at BCD.

    (BCD is having a large clearance sale.)
