| Thanks, which one(s) has "If I Had a Rocket Launcher" on it? I have
been looking for a Bruce Cockburn or two to add to my collection.
I have "World of Wonders" on vinyl.

| Yes, "Rocket Launcher" is on "Stealing Fire" - and that is the first CD
I would recommend getting, if you like World of Wonders. Then you
might get "Waiting for a Miracle" to see how you like some of his
earlier material.
Bruce's style has evolved considerably over the years. He started out
as a folk-oriented performer (generally too mellow for my taste), then
started getting more rhythmic and putting much more emphasis on
Christian themes. That phase culminated in "Dancing in the Dragon's
Jaws." There are some transitional albums until "The Trouble With
Normal", where political themes start coming to the fore.

| Over the weekend I picked up "Waiting for a Miracle". It has "If
I had a Rocket Launcher" on it. I like the disc, I will be happy
for a while.

1068.6 | New album, Big Circumstance, plus two more great albums | KOBAL::GOOD | Michael Good | Mon Feb 13 1989 10:52 | 31 |
| Bruce Cockburn has an outstanding new album out called "Big Circumstance",
available on the Gold Castle label. I reviewed this in Music notes.
For here, I'll just say that I think this may be Bruce Cockburn's best
album yet. It both consolidates and extends his earlier work, both
lyrically and musically.
At the same time, Gold Castle has finally released "Dancing in the
Dragon's Jaws" and "The Trouble With Normal" on CD. So now, nearly
all of Bruce's studio recordings are available on CD, with the
exception of two early albums and a compilation with some new
material. Here's a revised version of my studio album discography.
All albums except those marked "Import" are available on CD in the
U.S. on the label listed:
Bruce Cockburn 1969 Import
