Mari,
I've not seen the complete set, but have a couple of the
individual discs: one with the Schubler chorals and one
with some trio sonatas. I enjoy her touch; there's a bit
too much bombast in so many organ performances (and people
seem to go for it; I find the popularity of the Toccata &
Fugue in Dm inexplicable except as program music for
horror films) that her lighter touch, which exploits the
full dynamic range of the instrument, is refreshing and
reveals aspects of the music which other performers miss.

| Stu,
The two discs you mentioned are not part of this set. These are
new recordings. I have the one with the trio sonatas: for me JSB's
greatest hits!
The set is a cd version of the second 'complete organworks' she
did.
Anyone else?

Ah, let's see... 19 * $16.99, that's 322.81, plus 5% tax
at Electric Gramophone. Hmm. Christmas is 11+ month's
away...

| After I read the base note, I ran out to the largest record/cd store
in the state. While talking to the classical buyer, he made a number
of calls to various distributors, and we came to the conclusion
that the set is only available in France. He said that RCA has
the rights in this country to release it, but hasn't decided how
or when to release it. He mentioned that many times they will break
apart the set and release individual cd's(probably at a higher price
than the set). Sure would like to get my hands on the set though.
There is another 19 set of the complete organ works but I forgot
who it was by. I'll try to find out again and post it.
