1039.0. "ZZ Top On CD" by AQUA::ROST (December boys got it bad) Mon Jan 04 1988 19:02

There didn't seem to be a ZZ Top note, so here's one for any ZZ
    fans...

THe reason for this is the release of "The ZZ Top Six Pack", a three
CD set on Warner Bros. Price is around $45.

Disc one has "ZZ Top's First Album" and "Rio Grande Mud", disc two
has "Tres Hombres" and "Fandango" and disc three has "Tejas" and
    "El Loco".

Since ZZ has made a lot of short (around 35 minutes) LPs, this kind
of package is a nice treat...now if only they would release each
two album disc separately (doubt it).

Since the four albums that make up discs two and three can be bought
on four separate discs at $15 each, this package is a real deal
for Top afficianados.....except those that bought them all already!!!!

I was wondering if these were complete records or selected cuts from each LP.
Do you by chance know? This was the only thing they had under ZZTop when I
was looking so I couldn't reference any of the other disks.

And speaking of Southern Rock- how 'bout The Marshal Tucker Band,
has anyone seen any of these out there?

I'm pretty sure that its available over here in the U.K. so it
probably is available your side of the pond as well.

ELIMINATOR was the first of ZZ Top's albums to be released on CD.
    It should be generally available.

I still need to pick up the 6-pack; it's certainly a great deal.
