Natural Sound has the NAD 5240 on sale for $399. They didn't have
any literature on this particular model. They had the brochure
for the 5300 (higher end) that showed quality components and
construction. Does anyone have any experience or comments on this
machine? I compared it to a slightly more expensive Nachamichi
and less expensive Denon and was pleased with the sound. Its main
selling point to me was simple front panel and operation. I would
think this means they put most of the cost into the components and design.
NS said this was part of NAD's new line. The other selling
point was the NAD name. Has anyone had luck talking to the factory
directly (for info). Telephone number?

I can't speak for the CD player. But I own their cassette deck
and it's a winner. Also, someone in my family has a NAD receiver
and it's top shelf.
