FWIW For those of you are into Klezmer but are sick of the sound of gem stones scraping on vinyl, I came across The Klezmer Conservatory's "Oy Chanuaka" on CD yesterday at Barnes and Noble on Washington St. in Boston. Does anybody know if other Klezmer or Israeli music is available on CD or will become so shortly? If so, where in the Boston area? I hope the trend continues!!! Dick (cross posted to HUMAN::BAGELS)

The Klezmer Conservatory Band has another release out on CD called something like "Jumping in the Garden of Eden". It is on the Rounder label and was recorded in Carlisle MA and mastered in Shrewsbury (pressed in Canada). It's very well done and the sound is very good. It is an analog recording. CD Review wrote about this CD in their February issue and I believe gave it an 8 for both performance and for sound quality. I have enjoyed it very much. Barry |
