Can someone help me figure this file out? I typed in the command
>SHO KEYWORDS and received a long list. One of the keywords in the
list is CHRISTMAS, and, since I wanted to put in a rave over the
new Jessye Norman Christmas CD ($13.99 at Newbury Comics on Newbury
Street in Boston), I then typed >DIR/KEYWORD=CHRISTMAS. The system
responded by telling me that there was no such keyword. And yet
I was looking right at it in the keyword list. What am I doing wrong?
Frankly, I found this to be extremely user-hostile!

People create keywords with the command:
CREATE KEYWORD ...
Then they have the option of the attaching that keyword to
a particular base note or reply:
ADD KEYWORD ... [ optional note id ]
There's nothing that says a keyword HAS to be attached to
note. It's nice, but not required.
An alternative is to use "DIR/TITLE="..."" to look for likely
titles. This will only look at the titles of base notes
though. To look at replies use "DIR/ALL/TITLE="...". This
will take a long time if you don't restrict the range of the
title search.
If you find a note that should have a keyword attached to it
please feel free to do so.

If you just say DIR/KEYWORD, you'll only be looking at base notes.
You'd have to say DIR/KEYWORD=xxx *.* to see all notes.
I prefer to say SHOW KEYWORD/FULL xxx which gives me a list of the
notes, which I write down and then look at. This is MUCH faster
than DIR/KEYWORD.
