    I heard on the news tonite that SONY bought CBS Records for the
    amount of $2 Billion.  This has several interesting effects:
    
    Sony now owns the company which has 25% of the (US?) record market
    
    Sony now owns the company which invented COPYGUARD for DAT's.
    
    Sony makes DAT's.
    
    Interesting, at the least.  Should cause some changes in the business,
    perhaps hasten the entry of the DAT into the US market, as well
    as broaden the Sony share.  But what will happen to the record
    business?  The hardware business?  More raiding to be done in the
    industry?
