911.3 | More Lechmere Humor Maybe? | CELICA::CLEARY | | Tue Sep 29 1987 16:58 | 6 |
| I was a Lechmere in Woburn last Tuesday and noticed that they had
Bruce Springstein's Live # CD set for $28.99 and 20% off all CBS
labels. My buddy picked it up for about 24 bucks. Was this a
lucky find or has the price dropped due to the novelity wearing off?
I thought I got it cheap at $32.00 on sale.

911.4 | The same deal at Rockit | PARSEC::PESENTI | JP | Wed Sep 30 1987 08:17 | 7 |

I was at ROCKIT RECORDS in Nashua last night, and they offered the same deal.
($9.99 for the $9.98 CD).

911.5 | Bruce is $28.99 now | CELICA::CLEARY | | Wed Sep 30 1987 08:49 | 8 |
| re .3
Well I asked the Record Department Manager at Lechmere in Nashua
if 28.99 is the new price for Bruce Live and he said yes. So if
your considering buying it, wait until they have their next CBS
20% off sale and you get quite a buy. 3 1/2 hours of great music
for 24 bucks, not bad, I must say.

911.6 | Honeydrippers - such a deal | EXIT26::STRATTON | The four basic dessert groups | Sat Oct 03 1987 00:26 | 7 |
| I've seen the Honeydrippers CD at two different Lechmeres
labeled "manufacturer's suggested price <something>" and
bearing a Lechmere price tag that was at least $1.00, if
not $2-3, more than that (I've forgotten the exact numbers).

911.7 | Lechmere $2 off coupons... | PPT::RECKIE | Drive Faster, You'll Get There Sooner ! | Tue Oct 06 1987 12:04 | 17 |
| Howdee to all,
I just started reading this notesfile, as I am a new proud owner
of a Magnavox CD player. I have a silly lechmere faux paux to tell:
Lechemere has printed up coupons for $2 off anything in their recorded
music department, ie. CDs, LPs, etc... Through connections, I have
received about a 100 of these. If anyone is interested, I can pop
a couple of these yourways... I'm not out to screw Lechemere, but
rather to spread a little savings around. $2 off makes CDs a little
more affordable now, especially when I catch the various sales
Lechemere is having.
Feel free to contact me by E-mail,
Steve

911.8 | Limited supply | PPT::RECKIE | Drive Faster, You'll Get There Sooner ! | Tue Oct 06 1987 16:18 | 15 |
| Whew....
I got a huge number of requests...
I guess that's what I should have expected...
The source of the coupons is the University Coupon Book, which a
friend of mine got from his university.
Since I have a limited number of coupons, I guess what I'll do is
send 3 to each person who sends me mail. (hurry, for a limited time
only). Please enclose your mail-stop.

911.9 | Sorry, but All Gone | PPT::RECKIE | Drive Faster, You'll Get There Sooner ! | Wed Oct 07 1987 13:52 | 14 |
| Well That's ALL Folks,
I sent out as many as I could, and I sent them out in chronological
order of who responded to the note.
For all those who didn't get some, you can try the local area colleges.
They should have these coupons booklets.
I tried to spread the wealth as best as I could,
Steve
'Till the next deal...

911.10 | Lechmere sale | WONDER::STRANGE | No sense of harmony | Mon Jul 18 1988 15:52 | 3 |

| The only frustrating thing, well actually there might be a few more,
is the lack of selection and the sometimes hilarious but always
confusing categorization problem. Conway Twitty in the jazz section,
stuff like that. This might not be fair, but it seems that if it
isn't "White Snake" these guys don't have a clue. Despite the problems
of buying music in this atmosphere, they do have pretty good sales
and I was able to pick up a John Coltrane c.d for 7.98.
