894.0. "CD HOTLINE ?" by MPGS::FIELDSC (PHIL IN 88) Tue Sep 08 1987 11:26

    	Is there a CD hotline ? A 1-800 number.

    This number will connect you with someone who could answer questions
    about re-releases of old albums to CD. Like, is it avalable and if so
    where.

    	I don't know if one exist, I've heard that one does.

    thanks
    Chris

    There is a service made available to radio stations, where you
    call the 800 number, tell them the name of the station, then you
    can ask questions. I have read that WBCN in Boston has this.

894.4Hotline For All AreasCASV07::WRESINSKIMon Nov 23 1987 10:467
    The CD Hotline calls are taken by operators with access to a
    computerized catalog of CDs in every musical category except, for
    the moment, classical. The operators provide information about
    track titles, running times, and names of producers and guest artists
    as well as critical summaries based on reviews appearing in major
    American and British publications. To find out what number to call
    in a specific area, call the New York offices at (718)486-8788.
